Suggestions for Greece?

Cruise options can take you to Greece and Turkey. May be something to consider.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy; Palermo (Sicily), Italy; Chania (Souda), Crete, Greece; Rhodes, Greece; Istanbul, Turkey; Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey; Piraeus (Athens), Greece; Naples (Capri), Italy; Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

I am stopping in Athens in early July to see the new museum that opened a couple of years ago and just hang out before I head for the states.

The anti - American sentiment is due to the US’s support of Turkey. I always found this amusing considering that they would welcome the Germans (until now) who had obliterated the country in WWII. That being said, riots and strikes will get worse under the economic conditions that the country is facing which are also deteriorating.

I am willing to bet that their need for tourist dollars overrides most so-called anti-American sentiment. But that the strikes might increase, that seems very probable.

Its not a so called feeling, its real and you’d be surprised how stubborn Greeks are - I know because I’m a Greek.

PATheaterMom recommended Windmills, not me. :)

Ack–sorry!!!

I was in Greece 2 years ago and was not treated in a way that I interpreted as anti-American.

You were deaf to what they were saying to you in Greek. And things are different today - particularly in Athens.

My daughter is going to Crete for a week in March.
