Suggestions for Student with No Major

What a week! Lots of decisions

Boston college WL
Wake - accepted
Colgate - accepted
Tufts - accepted

Almost finished guys!

For my brain to keep it clean and orderly:

Safety -
Vermont - accepted with presidential scholarship

High safety
UGA - accepted with one UGA and presidential waiver

Target:
Richmond - accepted
Wake - accepted

Low reach:
Colgate - accepted

Reach:
BC - always a reach going RD - wait list
Middlebury - waitlist
Tufts - accepted

High reach:
UVA oos - accepted
Emory - accepted as woodruff scholars finalist
Vanderbilt - deferred ED1
Georgetown
Penn
Columbia

We may be well finished with acceptances here but she is blessed to have choices. I believed she deserved that chance and that she’s a great student, but no one asked me!
If she gets in one mod her favorites she will feel like she won college. It’s a she ever wanted. And she is almost there! I can’t wait until this is over

Recalling how this thread started, I love the way it has progressed and the wonderful options for your D (and family)…and perhaps more to come. I look forward to the end of her journey, but it is so nice to know it will be a happy ending. Congratulations to her!

Well that’s it! No from Penn and Columbia. D24 is very close to committing to Vanderbilt but waiting for Emory scholars decision tomorrow. I would love for her to consider Georgetown and uva ( we have a trip set up for next week) but she thinks she has decided. At the end of the day I guess it is up to her! A lot of hard work and so much for which to be grateful. Thanks for riding along!

Thanks so much for the update! Hope you’ll let us know if there’s a favorable decision from Emory. Your D has had a great run and has so many wonderful options available to her. Best of luck as she embarks on this next stage of life!

I’ve gone on ahead and updated this list with the decisions you’ve shared since then.

It’s not over :weary:. She was selected at a Woodruff Scholar at Emory today. The waters couldn’t be more muddy. Funny looking back at that first post now. For any future cc parents - take a deep breath, it will all be okay

It might not be over yet, but your D has some great offers to think about. She’s put in all the hard work for the applications, and now it’s time for the colleges to woo her. Congrats to your D!

Has she accepted Emory’s offer ?

She has actually turned it down. She felt that the campus culture was not a good fit. We went back and forth over it for weeks. Went back to Nashville last weekend to see v again. She strongly felt like it’s the place for her. Not at all an easy decision but here we are

Is it affordable? If so, congrats on selecting a school.

That’s what the entire journey is for - so it all works out!!

Yes it is thankfully. And thank you!
