I think some people mentioned that uni courses are helpful for SUMaC, but idk maybe his solutions were good

Ok, then my essayās were like 10 words each
I was rejected. Asian male, multiple JMO/AMO HM and Winners, USACO plat, first-authored paper, perfect GPA, tons of AP classes, advanced math courses, solid solutions for ALL problemsā¦Had no idea what they were looking for.
Honestly bro, I think they may have forgotten to send out acceptances after seeing all these crazy rejections

As for the app itself for those who are curious, I think they focused on how youāve taken advantage of the opportunities around you and the amount of creativity put into your pset. The process seems to be very holistic.
Iāve never participated in any competitions (they simply arenāt available in my area) but my ECs had a great impact on my community (I have lots of tutoring experience, actively volunteer to help underprivileged children learn arithmetic, play music for various audiences, etc). As for the pset I tried to make it extremely detailed and included things as simple as tiny algebraic steps. I also explained why I did everything that I did, and why certain things didnāt work. I donāt believe I got all the questions correct, in fact I think I didnāt interpret some questions as they were intended; so I think itās more about your ingenuity than anything else.
I hope this brief description helps anyone wondering about the program! Sorry if my wording sounds a bit choppy, I wrote it quickly lol.
