@camgard tell them to give your spot to me. lol
Accepted into my second choice major, Cola English… Didn’t get RTF. with 3.58. Won’t be attending due to the slim chance of internally transferring.
Hey guys! I got accepted as an undeclared major into CNS (my second choice). My first choice was Computer Science, but unfortunately that didn’t happen… I had a 3.91 GPA so I’m guessing grades wasn’t the reason I was rejected… Anyhow, I wanted to get some opinions from yall - do you guys think I should accept the undeclared major in CNS admission and attempt to internally transfer to CS? The other option is to internally transfer to ECE as a software engineering core if I get rejected by CS a second time… And lastly, I could stay at my community college and apply again next semester or year… Just wanted yalls opinion!
I am still waiting and “in-review” and I tried to call admissions twice because someone said on here that an admissions person they spoke with said they should call if they had not heard back by today so I am trying to but I wait on hold until eventually the recorded message tells me to call back later and hangs up. Has anyone successfully called admissions this morning and spoken to someone? Every time I call the lines are busy and I get hung up on.
When going to my admission status I only have the message:
“Your Status Check could not be conducted because of the following:
That application cannot be displayed in App Status Check. ( XAO5 )”
Does anyone know what this means?
Feel like I am the only one waiting. Wonder if it’s a good or bad thing that some of us haven’t found out this late still?
@NervousWreck96 You aren’t the only one I promise! I finally got to talk to someone at admissions and she said that all decisions have been made and that they are rolling out and we should all know “soon.”
Just called admissions. If you don’t hear by Friday, something is wrong. Call admissions on Monday.
Just called admissions and the guy said it could be any second or by the end of the June. Quite a large window
Rolling admissions are so annoying. So much for that ‘As soon as your decision is made, it will be posted on this page’ statement.
“Your application for admission is in review”…anybody else tired of seeing this crap?
Tell me about it! @heregoesnothin I am a McCombs applicant too. Have all the prereqs and 30 hours done at the time I applied and still waiting just like so many others… I am seriously considering to just drop this and attend Cox School of Business at SMU. They offered me a kick-ass financial package… so I am seriously considering it.
Same. I’m really curious as to when the mystatus page updates. I just want to check at that time and let go
Rejected CE, accepted to CS. 3.8 GPA. All pre reqs. Heard 2 days ago from 2 to 5pm
@UTEECEperson i wish i was in your position lol … I’m kinda having second thoughts that i should’ve applied to CS lol …and i got into ECE but wish i had applied for CS
Well… Another deadline passed and I’m still in review @-)
I got accepted to my second choice Liberal Arts Undeclared last night at about 11pm. I am still very grateful, but not sure how the “undeclared” works since I already have my core curriculum completed in one year at my current community college. I will be entering UT as a sophomore.
I am aiming for a science major in either Pre-Physician Assistant or Nursing (my first choice). Now that I didn’t get accepted into my first choice, can I still do an internal transfer to the natural sciences Pre-PA AND nursing school later on? Like can I submit two different applications to see which one accepts me? I will call advising when I have the time, but I just wanted to hear what you guys think. (: Thanks!!
I tried calling but they’re apparantly experiencing a large volume of calls. I guess a lot of people are wondering what the heck is going on.
@ecollin SMU is a great school and, being from Dallas originally, I really like that area. I’d have applied there myself but I’m going to school on the G.I. Bill and it only guarantees the tuition for public schools…so McCombs is my best option in Texas. I’ll be on my way to UTD if I don’t get in here…I already have an apartment here though and I either need to renew this lease or give them 60 days notice that is already 30 days late. People have lives, McCombs, COME ON!
