Summer/Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

Got in to CS with a 3.9!

Congrats !!! i’m still in review

I swear if they leave us hanging until the last second and then reject us I am going to throw a fit.

@reethika What was your gpa?

3.82! With two good essays and no req letters and no volunteer hours either!
Have you applied for nursing too? @homie246

No, I’m already a student at UT! My best friend applied with her first choice as nursing and second as CNS undeclared and hasn’t heard anything.

So what does undeclared actually mean? Do I get to take pre-req for nursing and then internally transfer?
And tell me if your best friend gets into undeclared! @homie246

Who else is still waiting to hear from McCombs? Even though I’ve decided to go to Mays at Texas A&M, I’m still curious if I get into McCombs or not.

I got into CNS with a 3.544 and 1 letter of rec, 2 good essays! Congrats to everyone!!

Un-freaking-believable that some of us still don’t know this late on the Friday of the week they promised all the decisions would be made.

I’m trying to figure out what are my chances of gettin into UT. I applied for the fall semester of 2015 I only have one withdrawal one c and currently have 32 credits. I have 6 recommendation for teachers some whom went to UT and other from different university’s. I wrote three essay and currently have a 3.46. My first mayor is chemical engineering and my second is a unspecified bussing transfer major. How Good are my chances of gettin accepted? My application say it’s under review still but complete and on time.

@MikeB89 I’m not too sure about chemical engineering but for business, I think your GPA may be a bit low. If you have a lot of extracurriculars it might be different, but from just that, I’m not too sure about business.

I’m still in review and it’s very late Friday .I guess the countdown to monday starts …

Beginning to feel like they were serious about finding out in August. lol

Just go the the finnancial aid office with all your documents including the selective service card. They’ll tell you what they need from you and award you financial aid in like 2 days after that.

They don’t make decisions on the weekend right?

Apparently there are only August orientations left and registration for those open in July.

Is anyone else going to the June 25th-26th session?

@reethika I think you have to declare a major in CNS by the end of sophomore year unless you transfer, so until then I guess you just try to get electives and non-major restricted classes. I’ll let you know!

The orientation sessions were full last week but then reopened, perhaps because of the large influx of decisions over the last few days. Maybe that’ll happen again? I was really happy about that and took full advantage, registering for the mid July orientation since I really don’t want to register that late.

Sorry guys I completely forgot to tell you my status @MyLonghorn, unfortunately you were wrong. I didnt’t get my first choice. I got CNS-undeclared, but I am still happy I can always internal transfer. Oh btw, those of you who have the orientation on June 25th-26, thats the same day I have mine.
