@JMag95 Same. I was so surprised. I had just finished watching the Gilmore Girls episode called The Big Envelope making a big deal about acceptances and big envelopes. Even my TAMUCC acceptance had a big envelope.
However, It isn’t the package, but the acceptance that matters.
…but a banner would be nice.
I’ve gone through three potential roommates in this search. One of theirs turned in their housing application months ago and hasn’t received a contract yet. Should I just go with Dobie and give up hope of finding something on campus?
From what I heard, last year Dobie had a ton of rooms still available. A friend who recently moved out from Dobie said that a few of the top floors were empty. So based on that, you probably have more time to find something on campus and just fall back to Dobie if you want to.
Guys it sucks that UT has been slow but I hope everyone who deserves to get in gets in.
I am really nervous… School starts in a week. I found a place at west campus to live at, but its just for summers. Let me know if someone is looking for a roommate to live off campus for fall.

Do yall know if admissions would extend the deadline for me to accept? I thought I would have the normal deadline for transfers that had less than 30 hours before March 1, which is sometime in July or August I think. The deadline they gave me once I was accepted was May 29, but I don’t have all the info from UT and other schools to make a decision by Friday
Accepted into Mccombs today.
Applied in like February. 3.86 GPA, no letters of recommendation, only wrote the two mandatory essays.

@MyUTAustin second time transferring (from CC -> Sam Houston state -> UT). Have taken almost all the indicator courses:
calc 1 (A)
Calc 2 (B) -> took in the spring I applied
Econ micro & macro (A)
Accounting 1 & 2 (A) -> took acct #2 in spring I applied
Phys 1 and Chem 1 (A) -> took physics 1 in spring I applied. I was actually scared because I though UT required two science courses in sequence. But it’s not that big a deal apparently.
Elementary stats/govt 1 & 2/history 1& 2/ English 1& 2 (A).
I was lucky I took most of these classes just cause. Who knew they would come in handy lol

Admitted into my second choice, which was CNS- Physics… do you think it’s possible to appeal for my first choice which was Mech. Engineering? Or should I leave it at that?

Congrats @silver95 from my understanding very few have been successful with appeals, but that is completely up to you!
I’m starting to get scared now. It seems that acceptances are starting to pick up and I want to get this over with.
Congrats @silver95 , I’m exactly in the same dilemma as you, just that my decision has not come out yet. I think you can’t appeal once accepted into 2nd choice. If you do, I think that’ll be a holistic review again taking that you have denied your acceptance and may go against you. But it’d be great if you go and talk to an advisor at UT and update me as well. I’ll be doing the exact same thing if not accepted for my first choice and may not even accept my 2nd choice.
@silver95 , can you also share when you exactly think that the acceptance was made, an hour ago, mid night etc… I’m dying to see my result.
