Oh my… where did you happen to see that about arts bridge? My son is slated to do it and we haven’t received anything yet about it going online! And I can’t find it. I was holding out hope for that one since it was late in the summer.
@buggirl74 maybe the email went to spam? My daughter’s friend was supposed to go to artsbridge and her mom told me at least a month ago that they had received an email moving it to online.
The first two sessions of SSTI has been cancelled. The other sessions are still on for now. They added an additional audition workshop in July if anyone is interested in applying.
Vicky Bussert announced the Artsbridge news on a FB live session with Mary Anna Denard this week. We are also confused as to no notification from Artbridge on this directly.

We got a survey a month ago as to whether we would consider an online version. But their site says they aren’t making a decision till 6/1 so that is why I was wondering! I am sure it will end up online since I doubt another location would be open to switch to.
Brown pre-college programs got cancelled too. Seems like everything’s getting cancelled… i wasn’t sure what to do this summer but I just heard about this virtual summer program, the summer stem institute.
It’s the only virtual opportunity I’ve heard of, and it actually sounds kinda cool, there’s mentors and speakers from harvard, stanford, and mit. I’m thinking of applying instead…
Just in general, I’ve heard of continuing the general shutdown through the end of May (all schools and businesses) but trying to open up after that…

Just got the email from NHSI Cherubs film program that they’ve decided to cancel and will not be doing an online format. I figured online for a film program would be difficult, so I’m not surprised.
Interlochen has announced they are going strictly online this summer
D was accepted into Ithaca’s summer program but its all zoom and they basically only took off for room and board…Thinking its not worth that much for zoom classes…
Student here. NHSI Theatre and MT extension have been cancelled and are not going online. Does anyone have suggestions of online college programs still taking applicants?
@zaraceleste Ithaca’s 3-week Online Summer Theatre Intensive is taking applications through June 1. It has programs for both Acting and MT.
My son just got an email from Ithaca that they are accepting apps til June 1. They have multiple tracks… acting and MT being 2 of them. It is online and someone above said they just took off room and board so not sure of cost!
@zaraceleste As above posts indicate, Ithaca has a 3 week program (so a couple weeks less than the NHSI program you hoped for), but it is less expensive than the NHSI program would have been. It is up to you to decide if the online experience is worth the price for you. So far my D has had good experiences with online training. You might also want to look at Broadway Collective’s Hello Broadway program which has been online for a couple years. It is also expensive though.

Ithaca’s summer theatre intensive is $3100 all zoom classes.
Stagedoor Manor will not be open this summer, sadly, but it is the right thing to do. They will be offering some online programming for this season.
