<p>According to the office of registration, classes that don’t fulfill GE credits give earlier registration times as they are also considered transferred units.</p>
<p>They might fulfill prerequisites depending on the department.</p>
<p>Also, you can take these classes online through a community college as long as the CC has an articulation agreement and the class you’ll be taking is not a language class nor a science lab section (the lecture can be taken online).</p>
<p>I’m doing the same thing during the summer. I’ll be taking classes for Category 2 and 3. I might try to fit in a Category 2 class, too. Unfortunately, I can’t take care of the writing requirement because most CCs require a semester of English before that, but if you can, you should try to take care of the writing requirement.</p>
