Essays were good since, like many other people on this thread, they were condensed RSI essays.
Most of my application was about math things that I did (competitions and some camps). Last Tuesday, I was informed that I made USAMO, so I wrote a mini update in the “Notes” portion of the application. I don’t know if that helped since they probably already made a decision about me then, and they might not have even seen my update.
