i am in the same boat with rutgers, the simple reasoning behind it is that college want geographic diversity hence a lot of oos students will get aid whereas in-state students will not

It’s a little depressing. My daughter has great stats and was offered a lot of money from other schools, including SUNYs.
@yellowjello yes the $5500 is a federal loan offered to I think everybody. Some qualify for subsidized. We did not.

Does anyone have any idea when the financial aid information will be available via “BU Brain”?
It probably depends on when you were accepted. I’m pretty sure the EA accepted students have all received it - but there was a problem with many people.s FAFSA so I would reach out via email and just make sure they have what they need.
