that is what my husband says in terms of my son getting in. I wish he knew before he hears from his top private choice which is a reach… oh well… we will get through this.
My daughter applied during the free week in October and was accepted into Harpur Nov. 30. I’m glad she already knows, but it really doesn’t matter in the end when someone finds out - an acceptance is an acceptance. None of her amazing friends have heard, yet.

GPA is impossible to compare across schools, but she had almost all high A’s, a couple of A-‘s, one B+ (in 9th grade gym of all things, lol, missed an online quiz during covid year 
), and one B.
IB diploma candidate, which is also hard to compare. On her transcript it looks like 11 IB courses in every subject area, plus a bunch of projects and an extended essay. 5 AP courses. She basically did her school’s hardest curriculum.
1460 SAT (710 Math, 750 English)
Varsity athlete, published a book, lots of strong EC’s.

We figured out the reason why S24 hasn’t heard from Bing. He applied on November 5th! He thought he was applying early for a November 15th EA deadline, but unlike all his other SUNYs, Bing’s EA deadline is November 1st.
So, there you have it! I guess his application counts as regular decision and he will not hear until March. He’s frustrated with himself because his application was ready on the first when he submitted an ED (deferred). He just thought the SUNY deadline was the 15th. At least we figured it out so we can stop checking the Bing portal every hour!

So far it hasn’t shown up in the portal.
My daughter definitely has a portal change tonight. Not sure if that has means a status update is coming soon. No longer says “application complete and being reviewed” or whatever it said. That whole section of verbiage is now gone. Just has the application check list and the covid-19 wording a the top. That now missing section of “status” has been there since the application was complete and was there this morning. Now it’s gone. Keep ya posted. In-state.

Same here. Received an email on 12/12 that my son’s application was complete but no update on a decision in the portal. He is also School of Management.

We got the same email which I thought was odd bcs applied end September and application was fully completed by mid-October so thought the email was odd that they were letting us know in Dec that application was complete. Let’s hope it was a good sign! haha!

My daughter is School of Management and her portal changed today also. I watch the Penn State thread daily for news of your son’s acceptance to Smeal there!!!
