Seriously though, we are visiting on the 15th. It was a bit of a reach for her so we decided to wait to visit. It is her top choice right now but I am not committing to anything without a visit! I figure if she likes it in cold January we should be set!

My son majors in math in HS and has taken bc calc ap/ and this year multivariable calc so sureā¦ Congrats! Yeah Jan may make it a tougher sell but my son really liked it when we went in April. My husband and I are alums and we survived.

S24 was accepted to Harpur tonight - in state. He had noticed earlier today that his portal had changed.

D24 just got a email with a merit award of 5K per year (20K total). Having been a reach we are so excited to get anything!

My son just got accepted to Harpur for Economics. In state. Iām listing his stats because I hope that this might temper the (kind of) despair I have felt worrying that Binghamton was too much of a stretch:
GPA- 94.8
SAT- 1320
AP- 3 (only three are offered in his school)
Extra Curriculars- None, with the exception of football (team captain) and basketball (team captain. All state for junior year) After school and summer job at grocery store.

How soon after the portal change did you hear? My daughterās portal looks like yours but Iām not sure when it changed.
Congrats!!! My daughter will also be doing economics! We are visiting on the 15th, but pretty sure she will also be a Bearcat! She also has similar stats (GPA about 93, 5 APs) which is why we did not initially rest hopes on an acceptance - so when it came through she was in a bit of shock. It also helped that she got it a couple hours after her only rejection to her #1 choice school (which has a slightly higher acceptance rate and the one she thought she had a chance at) College admissions is a crazy game.
