<p>Hey!! Wow. Congrats on all your achievements! Yeah, you definitely have a shot. I must sound like a broken record at this point cuz every time I post on CC, I mention how random this process is, but here it is again: this process is so incredibly random, so don’t get your hopes up, even though you definitely have the stats to get in. I know students who got in with stats that aren’t as high as yours on a whole, so I’m fairly certain that they take the essay into a ton of consideration. I didn’t get into Stony Brook’s program, which was probably the most disappointing result of the entire college process for me. You REALLY REALLY have to show them why you want to go there. Apply as soon as you can (don’t wait until January 10th like I did) because I’m pretty sure they’re rolling and look at applications as they come in. You definitely have a solid chance at a lot of the middle tier programs, but you couldn’t go wrong applying to a majority of them. You’re right in the ballpark for med programs. Check out the stats from the past few years, and see if you spot anyone with similar stats/got into programs that your interested. You also have the scholarship at RPI, which is highly research focused (I was gonna do BME if I went there; I’m sure you’d be able to do something similar), and it’s a program that you should be able to get an interview for at least.
