Super Bowl Commercials

@dragonmom, I am not sure what you don’t get about about my statement. Most countries have an official language, but most of it citizens are at minimum bilingual. As I said, the US seems to pride itself at being monolingual, and that is unfortunate. Since someone posted a link, just as I thought, the participants spoke English as well. But there are so many folks about to lose their minds that “their” song was being “disrespected”, and omg there was a gay couple! The author of the song was a lesbian. There is nothing smart or great about a nation of people being proud that they only speak one language. Americans will remain proud and stubborn, as other nations zip right ahead of us.

I liked the Radio Shack commercial. It was pretty clever

I wasn’t impressed with the Coke commercial. Like Lergnom said or maybe he didn’t (I’m too lazy to go find his post), it was a lame attempt to try to recreat e the “I’d Like to Teach The World To Sing” commercial’s coolness factor. It wasn’t creative at all. A commercial has 2 seconds to catch my attention. Otherwise, I’m going to use it as a good time for a bathroom break. Well, I sat there and gave it a chance. It evoked as much feeling as the “It’s a Small World” Disney ride. So, just a meh. Perhaps, if they had used cute puppies and horses like the Bud commercial. Or used Alf, the Delorean and Bubo like the Radio Shack commercial.

I appreciate commercials that don’t try to be noticeably different. A girl can only take so much cute puppies and hot rides… 8-|

The laugh-out-loud moment for me was the very end of the Doberhuahua commercial, when even Sarah McLaughlin couldn’t take it any more and threw down her guitar in disgust.

My favorite was the Sonos ad. I’m color oriented.
