Super low ap score

I wouldn’t omit any scores on tests for which I took a class. I thought my entire first post explained my reasoning behind that.

@skieurope‌ So after all, should I send my score?

No, don’t report them.

To paraphrase a famous bit of advice - better to be thought a failure than to report your low AP scores and remove all doubt. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by reporting those scores.

@MrMom62 but If not reporting ap score hurt my chance of getting in a school? And if it does, how much will it hurt?

Because of your high transcript grades, but ultra low AP scores, colleges will assume your high school’s grading policy is vastly inflated – which is never a good thing. IMHO that’s worse than a college thinking you were unmotivated or lazy. So for your situation, I would NOT self-report your AP scores. By not reporting your scores, colleges will assume you did poorly on the tests (which you did), but you WILL NOT be giving colleges ammunition to question the entire validity of your transcript.

If you report your low AP scores with high transcript grades, a college will question the validity of your transcript. They might discount every A or B you ever received – and that will be the quickest way to the reject pile at any college. In your situation, not reporting the scores will not hurt your chances as much as it will if you report them.

As long as you did well in the classes and did well on other APs (scoring 3+), it shouldn’t have much effect. I personally would not submit those scores you listed above however.

More importantly, why do you think UT and A&M are average schools? Unless you are top 10% in Texas, they are challenging for admission and both are top 10 Engineering schools.

Gibby is right. The reality is that if I were you I would question your own ability in those subjects as well. If you thought you did poorly and did so, that is one thing. You thought you knew the information and you did not. That sounds like your school is calling its classes AP level, but is not really ensuring you understand the information before you finish. I would be curious how your classmates did on the same exams. Is it just you or is it the school?
