epistrophy, thank you. I was thinking about LTS today, too…

Lafalum, I’m so sorry for your loss.

Thanks to all for your support.

Lafalum-- I am so very sorry.

My thoughts are also with you lafalum.

H talked to a good friend of ours in California yesterday. Things are looking like they’re getting last stage for his wife, who has battled breast cancer recurrences for the last 15 years… it made me think of latetoschool, her bravery, strength, and resolve against this @#$% disease. Another good friend lost his dad a couple of weeks ago. Each time, it reopens the pain we felt seeing f-i-l go through the pain and stealth of cancer. This disease really p***es me off.

I just saw this on Yahoo and thought of LTS and this thread…

Thanks for posting that, epistrophy. I was just thinking about LTS with the cherry blossom festivasl in the news too, and with another thread about a poster with pulmonary problems, dealing with the challenges of the medical care system.

Thank you, yorkyfan, I enjoyed listening to the stories in their own voices.

My condolences to all who have lost a loved one. My Mom passed away in March. She was diagnosed two years ago with lung cancer. We spent her last days with her in hospice.

I was one of the many lurkers on this thread who cherished the courage and stories from LTS. Somehow it helped me cope with my mom’s illness.

My Mom was also a fighter. She fought until the very end. I now realize how strong she was. I miss her. :(

She never smoked.

My condolences to you 1sokkermom. I know it’s a tough thing to go through.
