Thank you Coldad, Sailingwest, and andantino for posting - we are giving all of you including Sunriseeast’s S2 our love. Your presence means so much to us.
Sunrise - I think about the party you wrote about recently and feel that all you probably really wanted was to get us all together at once in ‘one place’ at the same time. I hope you know we are all here together right now.

singing for sunrise this evening-

Thank you for the warm welcome, CC friends. I have known Sunrise for many years, and something we always did on visits and the many vacations we shared was walking or hiking. The day after her major abdominal surgery over two years ago, I visited her in the hospital. Naturally, she was very weak, voice at a whisper. But we talked for a while, and before long, to my amazement, she was inching her legs toward the edge of the bed, grabbing her IV pole. “Let’s go for a walk,” she said. And we did. You think she’s amazing? You’re right.

Sunrise taught us that emotions are not to be avoided but faced head on, so that every drop of vitality in them can be used as nourishment for the soul. There will be many tears, but there will also be much joy in remembering this remarkable woman.

Thank you, sunrise. May your passing be peaceful. I know it will be full of love.

Candle lit. May you know what you have given to all of us. And may we never forget what we learned.

Lit a candle and holding your spirit close to my heart Sunrise east…

God bless you as you make your journey, may you be met by loving spirits who see who you are.

why am I not surprised that Sunrise’s family and friends are as wonderful and warm and gracious as she?

My candle is lit, as well. I am so humbled by the generosity of Sunrise’s husband and children to enable us to “be with her” during such a personal private time in their lives. While I’m still grieving the loss of my husband, you all remind me that the love and compassion Sunrise and her family have displayed is truly what life is all about and no loss, even death can ever transcend this love that will be forever felt in not only your hearts, but ours as well. Peace to you Sunrise.

Sending prayers and lit a virtual candle.

Sunrise, I am going to miss you and your sparkling personality. I am so grateful to have come to know you. Although we weren’t able to be chemo buddies IRL, I took you with me when I went each week. Thank you for your inspiration.

wonderful image, adantino. Especially the part where you were right there at her side as she got up to walk. You two must be very dear friends, and her companionship must mean a great deal to you. thankful for your shared friendship. Stepping outside to see the stars here in Virginia

Ahhh…but we will get to visit with you, sunrise…every new morning when you are peeking thru the trees, rising over the ocean horizon, splashing your rays over mountains, warming meadows, and most of all creating beautiful rainbows that we all will stop and marvel over and think of you…and yes some days we may not be able to see you thru the clouds, we all can be comforted that you are still there… planning for a huge comeback…peace always.

ccnewcomer-- I am very sorry for the loss of your husband. You are in my thoughts.

adantino, are you the dear friend who came down to take sunrise to chemo?

My sympathies to you, Coldad, Sailingwest, S2, andantino, and all of Sunrise’s other family and friends. How hard it must be for you to lose such a vibrant and loving woman.

Now 274 virtual candles from 8 countries. Amazing light.

arriving late, but in attendance.

I don’t know if anyone has posted this yet, from the Indian poet Rabindrinath Tagore: “Death is not extinguishing the lamp;it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.”

Another candle lit. Such admiration for sunrise. Peace to her family.

Thank you to all of sunrise’s family and friends who are joining us tonight, including those who may be quietly reading along. This is a beautiful tribute.
