Wishing you well and thinking about you!

I’m assuming fauxmaven is finished with surgery now and resting in the recovery area. Assuming her surgery was scheduled for first thing in the AM, which is always my preference. (I like my doctors fresh.)

And we like our doctors awake too!!
Early morning procedures have advantages and disadvantages. That said, yes, I’d prefer to be first than last on the doctor’s surgical calendar.

Presume all went well. Anesthesiologist here- fun being the doctor, not being the patient (worse because I know too much). I’ll bet part of the preop problem was all the fuss everyone made over you- hope they’re as nice when you really want the consideration! A fellow physician friend and I commiserated about physician husbands who didn’t do much for us when we were at our worst coming home from major operations. Their ideas of being helpful were taking care of things for themselves instead of us doing them- they just didn’t think about going the extra mile and making our toast… (they are used to us being strong, independent women). Men, sigh!

PS- yah, I know that was a sexist final statement.

No fun getting fixed but it is good down the road. Rest up!

Well, just got home from my surgery . I stayed out during anesthesia ,and feel pretty good ,but very tired . Going to lie down now .

I was looking for this post. I hope all is well. Do rest before joining us again. I was thinking about you.

fauxmaven - glad the anesthesia worked for you. Hope your recover quickly from your procedure and that you have someone to take care of you for a while.

Anesthesiologists are my favorite kind of doctor. I developed a soft spot for them during a C section with S2. He was the only one who talked nicely to me during the surgery. (the doctor and my H were total jerks discussing how the bladder screen they use would be useful in gutting deer and whether or not to save the “delightful” mole at the cut line. GRRRRRR

I was just at a spine clinic because I am nervous about having a steriod injection into my neck. They gave me my choice of 3 doctors and I opted to schedule with the anesthesiologist!

Thinking of you today, faux, and best wishes for a quick and full recovery.

Mine, too. I went through 11 hours of hell with my first birth before I dilated enough to get an order for an epidural. The anesthesiologist was literally one of the most handsome men I’ve ever seen-I mean movie star gorgeous.

My husband says he was just average looking, but that in my haze he became more attractive simply because he was the avenue to pain relief. I prefer to believe my version. :D

Hello Faux … maybe by the time you’re reading this your surgery is already over. You have many people pulling for you so please update on how you’re recovery is going. XXX OOO.

Just remember that you’re getting better every day from now on. Congratulations.

Hi -I slept most of today . Woke up at 1 because the doorbell rang with an Edible Arrangement . The first thing I ate today was a chocolate dipped strawberry ! Thanks for all your support, CC land !!

Glad to hear that you are home and resting. Get well soon!
