Sweeney Todd/Friday

Yes, congrats to your d rossji, a lead role!
I haven’t seen the stage version of ST either and would definitely go if and when it tours our area. Acting on a tip from my S who is a big Dep fan, I found a website that tells how he actually started out trying to make it as a musician. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this prior, but I did a quick search and came up with this interesting site that has his past musical credits. I can’t tell if he was much of a singer but he seems to have a good musical foundation for pulling off his character in Sweeney Todd.

I think he did a great job & my S has been going aroung the house singing bits from the movie without ever having heard the music before.
Now for the big question, should I surprise him with the Movie soundtrack or the Broadway version? He even wants to dig out his old sheet music and is talking about auditioning for shows again! I’m glad we saw the show together. Don’t know if my D will tho, she’s SO squeamish and hasn’t seen it yet.
