Swim Test

<p>The [PE</a> requirement website](<a href=“Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Official Athletics Website”>Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Official Athletics Website) says

Freshman Swim Test: September 5, 2006.</p>

<p>The swim test requires that you swim 100 yards on your front. The Boat test also requires that you tread water for 10 minutes. <note from=“” mollie:=“” boat=“” test=“optional”></note></p>

<p>Students may fulfill the swim requirement by taking Beginning Swim class. The swim test should be taken by all freshmen and transfer students who can swim.</p>

<p>Come to the Zesiger Sports Center Pool (Building W35) anytime during assigned hours by last name.</p>

<p>Duration: 30 minutes</p>

<p>(In case of a schedule conflict, you can be accepted at either one of the sessions)</p>

You don’t have to take the test during Orientation (I didn’t take mine until IAP of my senior year), but it’s good to get it out of the way.</p>
