Switching Engineering major in grad school

I have a friend who did business in his undergrad got a good gre score and is now in a EE masters program at RIT. He had no engineering experience/

Did RIT just join the diploma mill club? Or is there another RIT??!!</p>

Admission requirements
Admission into graduate studies leading to the MS degree in electrical engineering requires a bachelor of science in electrical engineering degree from an accredited program.</p>

<p>An applicant with a strong undergraduate record and a bachelor of science degree in another branch of engineering (mechanical, chemical, industrial, etc.) also will be considered for admission. In this case, the student must complete a certain number of undergraduate courses in order to bridge over to electrical engineering. Additional information is available from the department.
