<p>I am leaning towards industry, but I wouldn’t rule out academia entirely. From my experience as a TA and giving seminars, I do enjoy communicating knowledge to others. I am confident that teaching is something I would enjoy, but I might get frustrated at a community college or lower-tier school. I’m sure I could perform on the research end of things as well, but pushing out papers purely for the sake of publishing in quantity would be stressful. </p>
<p>Fighting to get funding and dealing with academia politics are the reasons I am looking more towards an industrial career in research.</p>
