Syracuse Newhouse or USC Annenberg?

I get it.

In the Newhouse Network Newsletter - they send kids to the Olympics and other events - that’s why I said other schools too.

For an aspiring story teller, if not working by then, I imagine if they can be housed in proximity to the Olympics, it would be juicy contest.

It’s a positive is all I’m saying - but likely at both schools - but they might have a lease at USC that makes housing easier!!!

Very interesting! Thank you everyone!

And NBC has Olympics, which means Mike Tirico is the man ….

delete - but it’s funny - you talk Newhouse - and Mike’s name comes out top every time - but one person doesn’t make a school - but Mike is a great person!!

I’m sure SC has fine alum as well.

Yeah, that’s a bit of a stretch.

Bottom line is that, if a kid wants to volunteer for LA28, there will be opportunities.

The question was if the USC campus/dorms/Village would be impacted by the Olympics in Spring 2028. I’m sure they will be cosmetically sprucing things up, but it shouldn’t impact OP’s daughter’s educational experience. There are major events (sports, concerts, award shows, etc) happening in and around USC every week. Streets are blocked, alerts go out to take alternate routes, etc. For many, it is exciting having all of this happening within walking distance. For others, it might be seen as a nuisance. Regardless, it is a well oiled machine.

@OG_Girlmom based on everything you have shared, I think your daughter has made her decision. Fit is important and she feels that Syracuse is a better fit for her.

He is known to hire SU people, so it can’t hurt!
