do you think they be will sending more notifications today for waitlist?
They have been releasing notifications so randomly, I always plan to hear something on a Friday.
My S was taken off the waitlist and just received his FA package with no merit award. Historically his stats fall into the thread of kids who have reported receiving merit awards in their package. Does anyone know if coming off the waitlist makes one ineligible for Merit? Has anyone requested a review for merit consideration and had any success? Unfortunately for my S without merit the amount of his debt after 4 years will increase significantly to the tune of at least $30k over another school and although he may have to give up his first choice (Syracuse) economically it just doesn’t make sense.
This is such a frustrating process. My son applied first choice to Falk and second choice to the iSchool. He is currently on the waitlist for the iSchool. I know of several students who were accepted to Falk when Falk wasn’t even one of their top 3 choices! Why would you offer a space in Falk to kids who have zero interest, but not take a kid who wants in?
@NEBlue So my waitlisted kid receives an email from SU FinAid with link to MySlice containing generous financial aid award…BUT no call or email from admissions regarding change in status from waitlist to offer of admission!? Not sure what to make of this?? Kind of putting the cart before the horse?
@Deltoro66 same situation. I think we could assume we’ve been accepted
@Deltoro66 my S actually received an email first with admissions notice and then about 3 business days later an email noting that his FA had been updated and to view through MySlice. He also received an official letter of acceptance in the mail. We are still waiting on a reply from FA (emailed immediately when he got his notification of aid through MySlice) as to consideration for merit to round out his package and make attending a reality. My thoughts are they are inundated with calls/emails that your child would not have been forwarded to FA without being accepted.

Just got taken off of the waitlist today! Is there a groupme?
My daughter was taken off the waitlist today (Whitman), we have not received the FA information yet, so we are excited and hoping for some FA so that she will be able to attend. Everybody still waiting stay positive.
I was accepted off the waitlist 4/21 for Whitman School of Business. Still no information with financial aid. Very sure Syracuse is not a contender for me because I’ve never visited and I don’t know FA award by quickly approaching May 1 deadline. At least, I got into another college.
