<p>I didn’t vote. All three are good and I really don’t have a strong preference this year.</p>

<p>I voted for everyone once but for Lauren about 5-6 times (when I could get through). They are all amazing and I would be happy for any one of the three to win. What a great finale!!</p>
<p>I wonder if it could possibly be Napoleon (of Nappy-Tabs fame)? I don’t know if he has the ballet technique needed to pull it off, though. The other thing would be a famous ballet dancer?? I don’t know any right off, though…</p>

<p>But we are discussing the youngsters on SYTYCD. Lauren and Kent obviously have had incredible training – (even in Wapakoneta)… and the discussion started with speculation about where they would go to college. </p>
<p>And I am saying that THOSE dancers have already progressed beyond what any college dance program can offer. </p>
<p>That isn’t to diminish the value of a college program for the vast majority of dancers who have not yet achieved what the finalists SYTYCD have … and certainly more training would benefit some of the SYTYCD top 10 who have been eliminated. If either one has academic or professional aspirations outside of dance, that would be a different story – but even so, they might benefit from a gap year or two just for the experience. It is actually not at all uncommon for young people to spend a few years dancing professionally in their late teens/early 20’s and then start college.</p>

<p>Is it my imagination,or did anyone else notice that when they did retrospective moments from the season Billy Bell did NOT appear in any?</p>
<p>My review of last night: Most dances were not “finale-worthy.” The only one that I thought was great was the Kent dance of the not-perfect couple. </p>
<p>The Devo-*Whip It *number was fun but it reminded me of when they used to do the East German talk show on Saturday Night Live. </p>
<p>The Lauren cha-cha was good, because of who was dancing.</p>
<p>Hip to be Square - hated it. </p>
<p>The Robert/Kent - it just emphasized how small and young Kent looks, in the big suit, giant hat, etc. </p>
<p>I liked *Cool *just because I love that song - I was glad to hear the judges praise the *original *song and choreography because I’ve adored it for years.</p>
<p>I was just on the Fox SYTYCD website. I didn’t realize that Mia Michaels choreographed the Mercy routine (aka The Door) with Twitch and Katee. Yes, she definitely needs to return to her role on the show as a choreographer (for more reasons than one)! That’s one of my favorite routines!!!</p>

<p>NOOOOOOOO! Oh, please, no. That routine was fantastic and Alex was amazing!!! How could they put Ellen in his place? That would make it seem like a spoof instead of an encore performance of the dance. </p>

<p>It does seem like a spoof. But here’s my question: If tWellen is going to be on tape anyway, why could they not have just shown a tape of the original? Last year when Russell got hurt at the very end, they quick pulled out a tape of whatever he had been planning to perform.</p>

<p>Wow! I was sure it was going to be Kent, but I’m happy with a Lauren win, too. She deserves it. Robert’s farewell speech was classy.</p>
<p>The Ellen/Twitch dance was great, loved Luke the tapdancing kid, and was so glad that Alex got to participate in the opening number. Even Mary’s shrieking was kind of good to hear again :eek:</p>
