T20 admission without interview

Thanks CCM. It’s a similar financial offer to Harvard (both are estimates until RD decisions), but it’s closer to home. I think she wants to pursue life in the NE, so I doubt I can sway her to consider the MOSAIC visit at VU next month.

I’ve been vocal about affording college and being a donut hole family on this forum. We have a well-defined game plan with spreadsheets outlying which top schools our daughter could apply to (Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford don’t use home equity in FinAid calculations so they are automatically financially fit for us). Yale, Cornell, Penn and many excellent schools offered too little aid and no merit in the NPCs to even consider. Several schools including UChicago, Columbia, BostonU, Duke, USC and Vandy would only be considered if merit aid and/or utilizing AP credit to reduce # of semesters could be utilized.

We’re ecstatic that two of our options have come through. She did not receive the Robertson Scholarship at Duke, and USC Trustee Scholarship, but we will wait to see what the final verdicts are on the rest to make a decision.
