Speaking of blocking, you can’t buy Kindle books through the Kindle app on Apple devices. You need to open a browser, log in to your Amazon account, and get the book there. Not a huge deal but could be easier. It’s Apple’s way to get you to use iBooks.
I would also say to get the device to match your smartphone^. I don’t have a matched set myself and it’s a little annoying at times. (I lean towards Android, and find that Google apps, like Gmail, work much better on an Android device than on my iPad .)
One more thing - I got an iPad mini and while I love the size, the type is smaller than on a larger iPad and harder to read with my middle aged eyes. And it’s not always possible to zoom in.
