Taking AP Calc AB but taking BC Test?

When I took BC, we finished the AB material at the end of first semster and went on to do an additional 3 or 4 chapters in our textbook. There were a few students who chose to take AB one year and take BC the next, but that isn’t common, at least in my school. So in that sense, BC is the same course as AB, just with a few extra topics and at a faster pace. If you plan on trying to cover the BC material to supplement the class and then take the BC test, I would recommend focusing on sequences and series, which is the most prominent BC-only topic. See the [College Board Calculus BC Topic Outline](<a href=“AP Calculus BC – AP Students | College Board”>AP Calculus BC – AP Students | College Board) for more detail.
