<p>You don’t need to take both. You can either take the ACT (with the writing section) or the SAT with 2 subject tests. There’s no harm in taking both tests to see how you do. My daughter took both and ended up doing better on the ACT than the SAT, but because she’d also done well on the SAT subject tests, we submitted everything to Rice. They just look at your best scores. (She’s a junior at Rice now.)</p>
