Talk to me about healthy dessert ideas!

I am loving all these! Definitely keep them coming!

Pears stewed in red or white wine with sugar and cinnamon and orange peels. You can condense the sauce after removing the pears and spoon over the pears. Serve either with a small scoop of ice cream or whip cream. The sauce is the sugar part, so you don’t have to eat everything. You can dump them half of them. I usually make 6 or 8 pears per one wine bottle.

@Igloo, I meant fruit alone. Not in a dessert. Or fruit with yogurt - that’s what I eat most mornings for breakfast - so it’s not going to cut it as a dessert!

I have the same @abasket. Banana and a fruit or yogurt and a fruit.
But I still love fruits for dessert.

Banana flambé with rum. Banana, butter, rum, sugar for sweet and for singing, burning. But I only put a spoon of brown sugar at most. It’s best to serve over one scoop of vanilla ice cream. No baking, very fast dessert.

If you need a chocolate fix, making pudding from scratch is fairly easy and because of the milk content, it does have some nutritional value and none of the crap found in boxed mixes - plus it tastes a lot better!

Chocolate covered strawberries - 2 ingredients, easy, and yummy.

Peel very ripe bananas, wrap individually in plastic wrap or waxed paper, and freeze. Eat frozen, like a popsicle. The consistency is reminiscent of ice cream. I bet you could drizzle with melted chocolate or stick some chocolate chips into it before freezing, though I haven’t done that.

Ooo, I love bananas - eat several every day - never would have thought to do that!

Yummy idea about the frozen bananas. They sell chocolate-dipped frozen bananas at Disneyland–had them when I was a teen!

Chocolate mousse made from 2 ingredients: dark chocolate and almond milk.

Frozen grapes are great, too! They taste like little mini-sorbets.

grapes, topped with yogurt and a sprinkle of brown sugar…

Easy Banana Pudding
Mash 1 ripe banana. Add 5-6 tablespoons applesauce. Stir in 2-3 teaspoon plain yogurt.

I’m a big fan of strawberry shortcake, blueberry pudding and fruit crisps. Fresh fruit with a little creme anglaise is pretty yummy. You can experiment with how little sweetener to add to fruit crisp and try honey or maple syrup. Have you tried strawberries with balsamic vinegar and a little bit of black pepper? Our house rarely eats dessert these days.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Avocado pudding.
This is my new favorite dessert. You’ll want to make a smaller amount than this calls for as it serves 6 and I think that leftovers have a more pronounced avocado flavor the next day (there is not an avocado flavor when you eat it immediately). This is a very rich recipe and it has a dark chocolate flavor.

You may also want to experiment with some other avocado chocolate pudding recipies. There are many out there. I’m still trying to find my favorite.

If you like bananas, you can dip one in melted dark chocolate and put in the freezer-or is it the frig? Anyway, people rave about these.

Homemade “Reeces” peanut butter cups. My wife made some a few weeks ago… melted dark chocolate and homemade peanut butter.

There may have been some kind of sweetener (natural or otherwise), but only two or three ingredients total. Refrigerate before eating.
