Targets for a Solid Student w/o Test Scores [Possibly Social Sciences]

These would all be targets/reaches, but I suspect the NPCs will be affordable. Have you run any NPCs for your in-state publics? Will any of them be affordable?

Meets Need (and seem more generous than others in defining need)

  • Lafayette (PA ): 2700 undergrads

  • Skidmore (NY): 2700 undergrads

  • Smith (MA): Women’s college with about 2600 undergrads, part of the consortium with Amherst, U. Mass, and others

  • Trinity (CT): 2200 undergrads, located in the capital city of Connecticut

  • U. of Richmond: (VA) 3100 undergrads, in Virginia’s state capital

  • Vassar (NY): 2500 undergrads

That was us. It wasn’t only us though. Three of my d’s friends also transferred out due to reduction in need-based aid. A Google search should bring up info. It did when this happened to us. There was a letter in the school paper and also a list of schools that are known to bait and switch like this.

There is a decent number of work hard play hard students, but it’s not the vast majority. Lots of what d called cool nerds lol. Very diverse student body. Fairly competitive vibe.
