Tasp 2007

Hey guys, I’m sure this has been asked b4, but what is the exact date for our notifications of whether or not we get an interview?

Oh, another thing. For those that remember me talking about how my bio teacher “strongly supported” me applying to RSI. Didn’t happen. I looked at that thread and decided that there was no I would get in, esp since it’s all numbers based and I haven’t taken calculus yet.

Oh and the kids there are probable around 0.000000001 as cool as the kids on this thread. Half their discussion is chances!

Oh and for all those Harry Potter fans, I actually did some background film editing for the next one that’s coming up, um. The Order of the Pheonix cuz the studio company I work for was doing some scene with a lot of crystal balls? (btw, I’m referring to the movie)

awwwww, ink!

and ken, i believe it was the first week in march, but everyone got notified at different times. and some people called in to ask.

Ink that is a traumatizing dream. I have had many TASS dreams. :-P

One involved, what if CC was real, like it was a giant room and there were all these ppl standing in lines behind velvet ropes. In the middle were big dunk tanks, and they would get dunked depending on their chances of getting into w.E school they were asking about. Than in the back of this large hall was a giant golden door with TASP on it. Ellen Baer dressed as a demi-god was standing at the door with a giant list. Next to the gold door was a giant steel one and all the ppl who didnt make it were banished into it (depressing.) Final I got to the front of the line and she was like “to the back of the line” I freaked and was like “you racist, TAsS isnt the program I thought it was…” and she was like “your a sophomore this line is for TASP not TASS” so feeling all rejected I went to back and then i saw this line of kids coming out of the steel reject door like Monty python style slamming copies of essays in their faces, and walking towards this bright green door. Of course it was Aidaism’s Mecca. SO I got in the back of the line and we stepped in and some of Lanky Denny’s music was playing and I was like W T F, and then I woke up. Awkwardly I woke up to not Lanky’s music but the Fugees (hmmm…)

SO there was my dream, vivid to say the least.

Wow this thread is cra…w…l…in…g.

Was I the only one that dreamt a happy dream about TASP? It was quite euphoric, like green grass-sunshine-discussions under a willow tree euphoric. However, it had nothing to do with admissions, which I guess is why it was so happy. I am just reveling in the fact that I haven’t been rejected yet! Rather blind to the broom that’s about to sweep my application into the TASP dustbin? Yes I sure am. It is nevertheless awesome just to be able to daydream about TASP.

lol. Makes me smile uber.

Yes no hmwk tonight, doing the California High School State Exit Exams

Last year first question on math was. 2x=4…

I cant hate though because I know that its really challenging for some students. Last year it was a big issue on the state level tryting to lower the standard, none the less I have 2 days of no classes :D

that’s sweet. we had today off b/c the windchill was 30something below 0… apparently that’s dangerously cold ;)

HAHAHA it was 70 degrees here :p

it was nice lauren. Where you from vival?

ick. same thing with the weather here. and my school is notorious for never calling snow days. NEVER. so i had school today, and i got into the building and my face was literally tingling numb. one of my friends is on track n cross country and they had to run outside for an hour and a half in that weather. makes me glad i don’t do sports. X)

lol :-P

ahh that must suck. It’s bad enough running in torrential rain at 50 degrees… I couldn’t handle snow.

oh us Californians have it so tough :-P

Actually it has been ridiculously cold lately. I have no good jackets

My Cell Phone has a counter on its main display and it shows

“TASS SUBMITTANCE: D+24”

That means I sent in my app. 24 days ago. Crazy

haha I know. It makes me sad to not be able to wear flip flops every day!

Here in Connecticut it’s barely above 10 degrees. I’m miserable. T_T

First week of March, I’m going to be in Spain for a school trip, my sister will be in Japan, and my parents will be buying art in Mexico.

…somebody better check the mail for me, is all I’m saying.

kalamazoo, michigan… we got another snow day today = 3 day week  but it is realllly cold outside!

btw guys, join the facebook group! search “tasp applicants 2007” =)

-sob-

e-mail from TASP telling me they didn’t get my transcript + teacher recommendation. And I thought it was over.

now to bother them all tomorrow.

Should we get a letter from TASP saying that they received our application? I feel like that should be common courtesy, so should I be worried that I haven’t gotten anything in the mail saying that they got my stuff? How do I know if my mail got there successfully?

no, they don’t send you a letter back. they get more than a thousand apps a year, so i guess you can call in. i just checked on the usps website and it confirmed the date/time it was delivered.
