Those kids in the RSI thread are seriously freaky. I didn’t think it was possible for someone to do all those things before college… Seriously, I didn’t know a 240 psat was possible.

Well there you go CC, always proving me wrong, one overachiever at a time.

I wonder why TASP doesn’t send out letters confirming applications? Seriously, so much work went into those things it’d be a shame not to get in because of some mix-up at the post office.

Obviously, we’re all horrible at standardized tests. This one girl in my class (easily one of the smartest) got a 170. Who knows how that happened?

This is compared to the TWO National Merit Finalists in the senior class. LOL

Oh man. PSATs and SATs. Let’s just say I’m grateful that TASP never asked for those scores…:)

I think the little void in my life has been filled up to a certain extent. I’ve managed to not go on this site for a few days. And I haven’t really been beating myself up for the typos in my TASP essays.

Darn. You two put me to shame. I was super proud of my 217. =/

I’m still in the running for national merit though! And that’s all that counts!

<rant>
Yeah, the RSI kids are definately a little scary. But remember, they’re the top in -their- field: math and science. We’re the humanities students. TASP is the RSI of humanities. I bet every one of you writes better essays than the RSI kids, so revel in your craft.</rant>

Just because we’re more interested in politics, history, and sociology than genetic manipulation or whatnot, doesn’t make us any less worthy.

Iriseyes, a small correction: RSI is the TASP of science.

Lobster, I know how you feel. Last year as a sophomore, three of my best friends got 234s. I was like…***? Hehe, some intense studying closed the gap this year though. If it weren’t for vocab, I would have gotten a 240 (i missed two questions on the entire test, and both were sentence completions). But test scores only say so much about an applicant. The rest is up to the individual.

W/e
I despise all educational standards and test of our society. They show some one can read a book and fill in circles. Quantitative vs. Qualitative. IT just doesn’t add up in society today. All those ppl complain about oh I got perfect scores but still got rejected from Princeton or W.e…

All you need is good character and diligence around me. No perfect scores or the ability to digest and regurgitate a textbook on command like a dog. And no I’m not saying that you guys are those types of ppl, thats why your applying to Telluride. Its the ppl who are biatchin and moanin about little things and not taking it for what its worth, that im against.

all of you are some of the most genuine ppl I have never met, so stay cool. :D

Of course since my beliefs are the exact opposite of 99% of this world, I’m set for failure.
