Tasp 2007

I’m so disappointed in you all.

Iris 2380 is weak, those 4 digits add up to 13 and that we all know is an un lucky number. I can only wish you can some how pull of a bucolic life after you get rejected from community college because of your score.

I’m sorry to be so pessimistic, but I’m just trying to be a realist.

:-P sarcasm btw.

You all did amazing. :D

lmao. Thank god my digits add up to 12. That’s TWICE as good as my friend who got 2400! :D

Giantredlobster - thank you for putting this in perspective. That’s really the important thing.

I feel inadequate. When I see “bucolic,” I think of Buca. Like, the restaurant.

Anyone with a 2300+ is RIDIC. Like, you’re unreal.

So for the practice tests I’ve taken (like the ones in those giiiant books?) I haven’t done very well…like…I’m sure I’d do better on the real, test, but still. But I pulled a 236 on the PSAT. Which is a better indicator of the score I can expect?? Aren’t some of the practice books harder than the others? Good thing I have about 20 SAT/ACT/SATII books around my house. Not even kidding…

does bucolic mean countrysideish? it evokes images of little lambs frolicking around in the green grasslands.

lol billy, you’re fine. and if you can get a 236 on the PSAT, a 2300+ will be no problem. i’m not sure how helpful all 20 of those practice books are; my advice would be to use the blue SAT book from the collegeboard. practice books are fine for gleaning certain strategies/tips, but i would use the questions from the blue book since they’re the most accurate. the sentence completions seem to be easier in the blue book, though.

Yeah, bucolic means like…peasanty. But good.

Hey, does anybody here know some interesting stuff about the War of the Roses? I’m having a hard time understanding when the rift between the Lancaster and York houses occured. They’re the same blood, right? o_o;;

Something tells me you’re not talking about the Michael Douglas movie…

Well, there was the Earthquake of 1356…

jk, I have no clue. =D

oh, SAT scores.
If you did really well, congrats.
If not, don’t sweat it.

The other TASPlicant from my school last year had a 2400. I had…ehem, let’s just say you’d have to knock off a few hundred points to get to where I was. I got in, she didn’t. (that sucked for a lot of reasons, btw. applying with your friends to really competitive stuff is a less than spectacular idea, i’ve found)

I also got into Yale with a score (the second time around) that barely broke 2200, if that makes anyone feel better. Hopefully it does, because all this college testing stress is just incredibly NOT worth it.

annnyway, as you were, oh Future TASPers of America.

haha, thanks for the words of wisdom :)

Meh, let’s stop talking about SATs because frankly, it is quite an insipid topic. Instead, I propose we play mafia!!!

No, let’s talk about… infinite series!

This thread just keeps growing like HeLa! Permanent multiplication (or division… isn’t it crazy how multiplication and division in bio are the same thing?) blows my miiind.

How about…

Whoever comes up with the best story about the mysteries lurking within Potala Palace post-Dalai Laman (yes I made him into an adjective) exile gets the uber-pen of Tibetan Merit!

Now THAT sounds exciting doesn’t it? On your marks, get set, go!

blank stare

you canadians and your tibetans…

Short answer its such a mystery because peace doesn’t exist, its a bunch of BS.

I second the motion to play mafia.

I support that motion as well.

Mafia’s a great game.

I don’t know what mafia is. :(

Oh my goodness, you guys are so cute! This thread amuses me. :]

Alright, so whoever wants to play, PM me and I will generate the list (randomly of course)
