Tasp 2007

Very good roam.

I think its funny that the 3 places you listed were all visited by Aida and the Statwicks last week.
oooh and I found out my grandpa used to work in PR so there is my distant connection to Aida.

Yep. But I’m not from San Juan SAN JUAN. I’m from the aaaaarea, but I’m really from the municipality of Guaynabo. ^_^

That’s awesome, chocolatemilk! I’ve never been to Culebra, but Old San Juan is the shiznit.

I went to JOYUDA, Corey, not Jayuya! :stuck_out_tongue: hahaha. But still. Yeha.

Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon? Screw that. Six Degrees of Aida. XD

This is exciting! w00t to roam (although we already went over this, lol), Cornell II is where it’s at. Though UT Austin could quite possibly be where it’s at as well. I agree, I would be ecstatic to go to any one of the seminars!!

Aida, you’re not coming to Chicago to visit? So CLOSE!! You should sneak out sometime and board a flight to Chicago. I guarantee you you’ll love it, though the weather is kind of blechy right now. >_< There are supposed to be snow flurries tomorrow or something.

haha when you sneak out to chicago wear spandex ;-)

Okay im sorry im droping bits and pieces of your stories into this mass market discussion board.

Oh, man - you have to go to Culebra! It’s ammaaazziinng, definitely one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. The fact that the electricity goes out a few inconvenient times (AKA every hour or so) only adds to its charm :o

My mom’s from Old San Juan! And my dad’s from Jayuya, the last time I went I tried - key word - to climb the tres picachos… man, baaad idea…

But it’s cool, me and razzberry here are going to hike the appalachian trail anyway :o

I think cornell II sounds sooo amazing, I love the renaissance and science, and BAM - Renaissance Made Flesh - yes, please!

But I agree, any would be spectacular. Maybe I shouldn’t have exed out the Mich one… good thing my interviewer was from Mich… and wondered why no one wanted to go… and I told her because it sounded dry…

In retrospect, I kind of suck at life :o

Oh, snap - what’s this about spandex?

Haha krzy, that was a convenient coincidence on the part of Michigan/your interviewer. I thought Michigan’s seminar description was somewhat interesting, but it just didn’t really jump out at me like some of the others do. :)

I know, I’m lost with the spandex.

Doesn’t that suck about the Michigan thing? I noticed it a bit afterwards, and my eyes just rolled to the back of my head. Well, not really, but that would’ve been kind of sweet.

Yeah, for some reason it was all just a bit too American - after cramming my brain with US history, I’m a little americaned-out. Now, the renassiance, on the other hand…

:)

i love the michigan one! although i love cornell II too… and washu… the international politics on film one, not so much. which reminds me, i should do some brushing up on current events before the interview.

and look what you started, corey. [huffs]

cornell I
mich
cornell II
st louis
ut

Cornell II is for lovers. =3

After that it’s Cornell I, and then the other ones could fall randomly. I told my interviewers I would be thrilled to go to any of them, and it’s true! I would freak out. But Cornell II…mmmm-mmm-mm. Talk about a DELICIOUS ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE.

lol Cornell II psssh… JP JP

I just spent the last 30minutes mapping out how im going to get to my interview. It takes from 2:53 till 4:16 to get from my house to Stanford via public transportation. thats 1 hour and 23 min for me to get somewhere that takes 20min max by car. I do not hold my resourcefulness in high esteem.

wow i can’t imagine STILL worrying about the interview… but now that its over for me i wanna fast forward to May, find out the decision, then rewind back. at least then i can focus on my IB/AP tests =/

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU STILL WAITING!!

Iris, Cornell II is definitely for lovers. krzy, I know what you mean, practically my entire social studies education has been US history. The Renaissance would be a delicious break from all of it. :)

Haha, I know, I’m horrible with directions. Good thing I don’t have a license yet, or I would probably be on the highway driving to my interview and then wonder “Oh wow…20 miles to Canada? Huh. That’s not on the map.” I kid you not. x_x

oh my million you driving up from chi-town to canada on accident-- That is harsh

Haha, now wouldn’t that be a hilarious story? Check back with me in about 10 years. I bet it will have happened by then. :)

If you end up in Canada for some reason, stop by and say hi! :D

hmmm That happened at my moms graduation. My grandma insisted they had her graduation dinner at Benihanas so my Mom with me and my grandparents in the car drove in the driving rain from UChicago towards Milwaukee. Ends up the Benihanas was down in Joliet or something like that. Point is-- complete opposite direction.

you drove to milwaukee just to eat at benihana’s? is it really that good?

I’d love to sneak on a flight and go. SNoooooooooow. Never touched it fo’ realz. It was LYCRA, Corey! :stuck_out_tongue: Or…whatever.

I know! It has Flamingo Beach, which is one of THE best beaches in the WORLD. Haha, I hiked through El Yunque the other day. Crazy stuff.

Both Cornells are for lovers. bahahaha.

aida would know. [coughs]
