Tasp 2007

Well, you always have to take worst-case scenarios into consideration. I mean, life is way more fun when you think…

“Omg what if I get food poisoning and die? Maybe I should never eat again.”

or

“Omg what if somebody murders me in my sleep? Maybe I should never sleep again.”

or

“Omg what if I breathe in some toxic fume? Maybe I should never breathe again.”

etc.

Actually, world domination by robot falcons is not the worst-case scenario in this regard.

Worst case scenario:

Falcon gets mind of own, but instead of world domination, decides wants to cover world with white excrement. Programs other falcon robots to think the same. Chaos and white sliminess ensues.

I’m boreddd. Stupid spring break APUSH assignment. We have to research 9 presidents and their domestic and foreign agendas, and I’ve been working for an hour and only finished one ><. Admittedly, I probably got distracted for half the time, but still.

Anddd I said I couldn’t eat lunch until I finish. At this rate I won’t eat until 6 :frowning: And I’m starvinggg already :P

hahaha “Chaos and white sliminess ensues” ■■■■■. But would robotic falcons even excrete waste?

Speaking of fooooood I just had AWESOME TapEx fried tofu… is in love

haha
yeah right now all they do is sit on rooftops and flap their robotic wings and make loud noises, but world domination does seem like the next logical step

Of course robotic falcons could excrete waste.

“You can do anything you put your mind to,” don’t you know that? So once they attain a mind of their own, they can do anything they want to do.

The Matrix Falconates.

I can’t believe we’re discussing robotic falcons.

In other news, there will be a geisha documentary (and possibly the real deal) at the Brooklyn garden sakura matsuri…and I can’t go because I have a softball game. OH YE CRUEL FATE.

What’s wrong with discussing robotic falcons, iriseyes? I think it’s a perfectly fine topic to discuss.

I also think being cooped up all day with an APUSH textbook, and pen, and loads of paper is getting to my mind.

Oh, geisha? Why do you want to see them?

Just every once and a while I go “Hehe. Look what we’re talking about. Hehe.”

How can you ask tako? =O I’m hurt! You know I love geisha!

hahaha :)

Do any of you guys have experience with SAT II chem prep books? Any comments/recommendations?

Hehe. I know, I know.

I love what we talk about too, because I don’t want to talk about a certain other thing. You know, I’m going to come back to this thread in ten years, and smile fondly, remembering all of you guys. Let’s keep in touch, okay?

XDD I can’t wait for ten years to pass so that I can tell my kids about my loserish life in high school, where I spend hours on a forum chatting with people I didn’t even know, about the randomest things in the world, like robot falcons  Haha my kids are going to think I’m such a loser. Yep, they’re going to have a loser mom. Lucky them.

Oh, how I hate that thing-that-should-never-be-mentioned until 10 more days pass by.

It-that-shall-never-be-named

On a side note, I’ve decided that I’m going to pull an all-nighter, and then I’m calling, right at 6 am (here, that would make it 9 am there).

Wait, no, I’ll probably change my mind, I expect. Hehe. Maybe I will wait for the email, actually. ERGHH I don’t know. Do I want to be talking to somebody when I hear the terrible news, or do I want to wallow in self-pity alone and receive the information inpersonally. Or do I just want to avoid the internet and the phone for two weeks until I get my rejection letter.

What a dilemna :(

I’m using the Kaplan version for SAT II CHemistry, and Princeton Review for AP Chemistry.

I’d say they’re both okay. I used Princeton Review a few years ago for Bio, and that was sufficient for all except like 3-4 SUPER RANDOM questions. I don’t think chemistry will have a problem like that, though. (Seriously, they gave me random symptons of a disease and was like OKAY what disease is this? And it was super random stuff, like “Bad bone disease,” except not, lol. I guessed on that question.) Barrons is usually super detailed, but I don’t think you need that for chem :P

I figure I’ll call and request my rejection personally. (I am being deliberately pessimistic because I firmly belive that pessimism increaeses my chances. For example when I thought I didn’t get a TASP interview, I got one. When I thought I did well retaking the SATs, I dropped 100 points.)

On a side note, does anyone have any interesting book reccomendations. I am worried that if I am bored some time I’ll study for AP exams and I would hate to be productive.

read ‘extremely loud and incredibly close’ by jonathan safran foer. it’s amazing. or read anything by nick hornby (a la high fidelity/a long way down). or if you’re into something more academic, orientalism by edward said.

Anything by Kurt Vonnegut.

Kurt Vonnegut <3

I’m reading the Fountainhead right now.

East of Eden was wonderful. Invisible Man is my lover.

Thanks for the chem book info… right now I have Princeton Review for AP chem, and Barron’s for SAT II chem, but I’m thinking of getting another book for SAT II.

I’m definitely calling. It actually works out quite nice, because I wake up for school at 6:30 or so, which is about 9:30 eastern time.

They send out mass emails for acceptances.

Tako COME!!! Its from 7-9 please…

COREY I WANT TO I WANT TO come see you :(

But I already said I’d go to the stupid journalism dinner, and that will go until 8 o clock at least, and if I ditched or left early my best bud would kill me, and I can’t do that to her (you know, my best bud…who didn’t get editor-in-chief) and now I wish I said I wasn’t going.

:( I’m sooooooooo sorrryyyy Corey. I feel so bad. :frowning: I want to go, and I can’t and RAWR I HATE MY LIFE.

<3 please forgive me? :(

http://i98.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/l272/Vassiliy/image001.jpg

HAHA sid you are random.

And that was…funny :D

ANDDDD

I GOT THE 5000st POST

YES

HA take that, f00ls!

does a little dance

Hehe you know what’s absolutely pathetic? I realized that I could steal the 5000st post after posting post 4999, but this forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between posting!

So that was the longest 60 seconds of my life, because I was so anxious that somebody would steal my glory!

Rather pathetic when your heart starts beating faster thinking somebody might beat you to a post, isn’t it? This is what CC has done to me!
