somewhere out there, the TASP Gods are sitting around a conference table talking about us… starting this week, this morning.

ugh. i am so so nervous. the closer it gets, the more i realize i really need to get in.

somewhere out there, the TASP Gods are sitting around a conference table talking about us… starting this week, this morning.

ugh. i am so so nervous. the closer it gets, the more i realize i really need to get in.

I second that.

Tako, I’m doing the exact same thing! It’s like I’m on TASP lent. I’m working out extra hard, actually doing my work project (setting up the handbells) and watching less TV. All for the karma, baby. =D

hahaha wow… karma? Forget that… the way I see it, nothing we do now can possibly make a difference.

The TASP Gods (and Goddesses)? XD. The way we idealize/worship them… they must be laughing if they’re reading this right now. They’re probably just a bunch of down-to-earth normal people.

Jenny, how is that peanut butter smoothie? And have you tried the chocolate one? I was always curious about those but never got them.

I’ve never had Jamba Juice. Wow I’m deprived.

This question may verge on blasphemy, but the time is almosr right so I am asking it. Will there be a ‘Tasp Acceptances’ thread or will this one remain the sole domain of TASPy goodness.

this thread is home to all taspiness
that is all.

Anything seperate from this thread I will personally Hack and destroy… RAWRRRR!!! (Thats my try at being intimidating :-P)

Everything TAS- related belongs here.

Okay, so apparently all of the acceptance emails (most people have claimed that they recieved emails first) come at different times, so if (screw it, WHEN!) everyone starts flooding this thing with acceptances, don’t freak out!

That’s really hypocritical, because I know I’m going to be the first to go completely insane if everyone’s celebrating and I’m stuck in painful suspence, but just wise words from a not-so-wise person :P

Does anyone have essays they want read over - I’m in the mood for an enlightening read, and what better place to search than in a forum full of brilliant, like-minded individuals? I’m just curious to see the different takes on the questions, because they were really broad.

Haha, Giantredlobster - I, for one, was terrified. :o

Im a sophomore still but next year I’ll be sure to apply to Tasp, good luck to all that applied, and if you want to share some tips with me for applying next year feel free ;)

RDarin- let your personality show in your essays. make them completely you. That was my biggest mistake.

Agreed - let your idiosyncracies and throught patterns shine through your writing. That’s what they seem to be looking for, but I don’t want to be one to shell out advice since I’m still a hopeful-obsessive-email-checker…

Dont let this site freak you out. I’m a sophomore too (applied to TASS – The TASP for sophomores) and some ppl can be intimidating (Not just because of the age difference) My essays were very “me” and simple. Concise(plural?) is a key factor. Some ppls essays are amazing on the intellectual and complexity level but at the same time there are more that are amazing on the personal level and thats what TASP is all about.

So good luck RDarin!
(Also dont worry about it now-- waste of time-- not that you where)

Chocolamlk-- Im the same way, I had this thought of. Hmmm its monday maybe they will come out today. And also since TASS interview notifications came out before TASP Im hoping its the same for the real deal.

My softball team won today 17-3! Yaaay!

congrats iris!!

That reminds me of Stick It which i just finished watching which makes me miss gymnastics sooo much! I haven’t gone flipping through the air in so long and i really wish i could still do it. Whatever, i quit for a reason right?

an early good luck to all of you.

And don’t freak out if you don’t get in. There are tons of things to do in a summer, and there are always college applications to start ;)

Peanut butter smoothie was delicious. I actually made a new years resolution not to eat chocolate, so I had to get it with a soy base instead of a chocolate base. I’m sure the chocolate moo’d is delicious as well :)

^ Yumm I want it.

Wow, a flurry of new posting people today! The big day is nearing, guys…

ahhhh who else here can’t focus on impending IB/AP exams due to TASP decisions which come out earliest THIS MONDAY. as in the one right after this weekend. haha a chocolate smoothie sounds scrumptious right about now^

oh and krzy - i feel you, sahmdimess… i think back on my interview, and i realize i have no clue how i did, regardless of the angle i take.

resolution #1 - do not waste time pondering over TASP, those down-to-earth-yet-still-godlike-TASP-entities are not influenced by my repeated checking of CC, which somehow i feel connects me to a TASPy aura that heightens my chances of getting in.

resolution #2 - IB exams. enough said.

Aww razz :)

I can’t focus at all on homework.

And I realized that I have a chemistry final on Monday…which sucks.
