okay you win TAKo

:-(

okay you win TAKo

:-(

Woot woot.

This just shows how pathetic my life is. Oh well :)

So close to four hundred pages, so sad.

We’ll make our way there…in less than an hour!

Yes, we shall :)

Wow, what a useful post I made last year. I can answer questions about logistical stuff now too. But priority #1: If you’re going to Michigan, BRING A FAN!!!

maybe acceptances were given out alphabetically by last name? (:

haha i’m crazy. but i don’t want to lose hope :/

XD A fan? Like one of those small hold-in-your-hand ones? Or a big one :O

I’m a UMicker and I’m exciteddd. Tell me, what kind of fun things are there to do during free time? I CANNOT WAIT :D

Did you guys respond to Ellen Baer’s email? To accomplish - “Please let us know as soon as possible whether or not you will be attending.” i wasnt sure if i was to email her back or not.

I haven’t yet. I’m hoping a more official letter will come in the mail…complete with a:
Do you want to attend? Check one of the following boxes.

[] Yes
[] No
[_] Uhh…I haven’t decided yet.

Or something.

I have to talk to my journalism teacher first. I’m sure she’ll let me go, just need to make sure things are perfect.

So tomorrow I plan to yes, send the email :)

Iriseyes I totally understand where you are coming from just change Yale to ATL and it sounds like we had the exact interview. Sounds like you are going to have an amazing (better) summer ( :

TAKO I will personally Betch out your advisor if she says no. Thats so unfair and its your summer and its the newspaper. Its not like yoou publish summer issues.!!!

And it ends Aug 4th… that gives you time to work b4 school starts on the 28th-ish.

Tako that would suck, but I’m sort of facing a similar predicament.

I just got notice that if I don’t write those finals (second chance to write them is in late late late August when I’m in friggin’ Europe–I get back a day before school starts) I will lose 20% off of each of those courses and I would also risk losing a load of scholarship money from Canadian universities and the beautiful province of British Columbia… I’m supposed to talk with my advisor tmr, but since she has no clue about TASP, I might be in a bit of a pickle! ASDHAJHKJFHDSFOH!!

I just realized I don’t have a single fan in my house. That’s what happens when the temp. doesn’t get higher than 12 degrees (Celsius) I guess.

No word yet. Sadness descends…
(And yes, I know, I’m bringing it on myself).

Hmm… Interesting, my posts always end up either at the bottom of the page, or get bumped up to the top of the next page. Okay, really not that interesting.

P.S. Why did all the people not attending TASP this summer suddenly disappear? Their departure has made this thread unbearably barren.

P.P.S. HAVE HOPE PEOPLE! Deeeeeep breaths. Also remember, TASP is not the only source of intellectual enlightenment (I sound like a ■■■■■■, I know). Seriously, it’s just SIX WEEKS (that will stay with me for the rest of my life) but it’s just SIX WEEKS and we’ve got YEARS (hopefully) to live. My argument is getting tangled. I’ll stop now.

Roam Tako And All You Other Lurking Umichers, I Can’t Waaaiit To See You All! Hooorray!

Wow, my uber caps’ed post was just de-caps-itated. Sad. Very very sad.

Hah, I still remember the cool shops in Ann Arbor. Bubble Island was the nearest standby for bubble tea, Stucci’s was the premier ice cream place, and the used record stores on State St (Wazoo and Schoolkid Records), if still open, are a really cool place to spend an afternoon. Ummm… same with the bookstores, especially Kaleidoscope, which perpetually looks like a bomb has gone off in the back room. I feel Ann Arbor has a really cool homegrown hippie feel to it, and it’s really fun to poke around the side streets. Try to find our TASP '05 mark in the graffiti alley!
But best of all is Washentaw Dairy, which is a walk, but well worth it. We went there on the last day of TASP at 5AM. The single scoop comes in epic proportions.

Bubble Island.

Stucci’s.

Used record store. Kaleidoscope AHHHH BOOK STORE I LOVE IT.

Look for TASP 05 graffiti mark.

Washentaw Dairy.

Okie dokie!

Haha taking notes already tako!!! :D

this thread slowed down so much :(

Also I fear that those who didnt get emails didnt get in :(

That suks so much. Im sort of emo right now

(At home sick for second day in a row)

No email yet. Sad sad sad. Waiting…
