Awww thanks roam. But I doubt it; I’m a terrible public speaker, haha. It’s more that I’ll be intimidated by all the unspeakably amazing Cornellians :)

Your so bad, Nate

I have something funny to confess. I wrote one and pieced together another of my TASP essays (from journal entries and parts of a previous attempt at the oh-so-fun personal conflict essay) on the online application like, hours before they were due, and added a three paragraph conclusion to the other one at the same time, so i don’t have a single copy of any of my TASP essays. I’m such a genius that I didn’t even bother to save them to my computer, so now I can’t even go back and read my essays and wonder how on earth I actually got an accepted to TASP.

If you contact TA, I’m sure they’d be willing to dig up your essays and give 'em to you :)

And Dae, yeah seriously all the cornellians are going to be O_o at your essays.

If you applied online, you can just log in, and there’ll be a copy of your essays waiting for you there!

Onegoodgirl, you can just ask your interviewers to email them to you; they all have a copy of the interviewees’ essays. If not, Telluride has copies, methinks. ^_^

OR…what kathy said. XD

Thhhhhaaaaannnnkkkkkssss Guys!

I tried to find my essays online but the app. is no longer available so i can’t get them that way. Do you think that TA or my interviewers would be irritated if I asked them to send me my essays? I’m always concerned that I might be impossibly annoying…

What silliness I tolerate in me. I love you guys and I don’t even know you. Funny, huh. Oh, I’m really excited, too. I found an awesome course in Early European History that teaches from the “Great Books of the Western…blah…blahh…blahhh.” I’m so excited!! Now I just have to find the 500+ dollars it’ll cost…hmmm (Oh, forgive me. I’m a homeschooler [no, not of the creepy sheltered variety] This is called a curriculum-high, where total dorks get excited about spending hundreds of dollars on incredible books written by people who nobody’s heard of since the fifth century) Now I have to go study for my Spanish final. Bye for now. Oh wait, i just read over this and it sounds like confession of the nerds. Maybe i should delete this…is there a way to do that?

there is no way to delete a thread. =/ sorry!

Oh and it doesn’t matter. You didn’t sound like a nerd there and even if you did it wouldn’t matter. Think about the website you’re on.

Anyway, This is my 1000 post so I’m now a senior member!! I felt I should put it in the TASP thread since I basically owe 500 posts to you all. <3 When I originally signed up for this site I told myself, you can stay on 'til you become a senior member. But then you have to get off.
=(

Thankfully, I never promised myself that. I don’t mind lying…i just cant break a promise.

Too kind Karen, too kind. Congrats on Senior Member! I’m gonna be like you when I grow up.

KAREN SENIOR MEMBER STATUS :DDD

So today my crush gave me a ride home, and then when we got to my house we just sat in his car and talked <333

BACKGROUND:
- I want him to ask me to senior ball
but it’s not a terribly devastating thing if he doesn’t, since it is SENIOR ball and I’m just a mere junior
- He’s like, being peer pressured into asking some girl. GRR.

Anyway, even though I gave HECKA hints, he is like DENSE IN THE HEAD and doesn’t get it. So apparently he’s just going to ask peer pressure girl. RAWR.

And it was super scary because I was supposed to be home around 10, but I was sitting in the car talking to him…AND THEN my dad comes out and is obviously going to drive his car and look for me. So I run out and be like I’M RIGHT HERE IT’S ALL GOOD.

And he probably thinks I was making out or something, GROSS.

But it was fun
And my crush is stupid :(

I was selected for the Cornell 1 Tasp, the one about international politics.

Anyone else being selected for that one or the one about the Renaissance Made Flesh?

Lol Tako and boys XD
your stories are always so funny.

Congrats on the Senior status!!!

Alek welcome, go to facebook, and you will meet everyone in the Cornell TASPs. (Just search InterTASP) or you can be a tasp purist and not look anybody up.

Eww school stinks. And this morning I had a “doctors appointment” because basically my mom made me clean the entire house this morning (So it was clean for our cleaning lady (oh the irony)(parenthesis inside parenthesis(
XD))) So I got to school at 8:40, almost an hour late. And my mom did this knowingly. Thank god I had no hmwk due.

Ah I love all of you who remain on CC, you are the true die hards. Especially you Karen!!!
“I want to be like you when I grow up” <– Lol XD

Giantredlobster, please explain me how Facebook works, I’m not acquainted. First of all, what’s the address?

I’m from Macedonia, and here we use only Myspace and hi5 :)

Looking forward to meet all of you ;)

I found it, I’m just waiting for it to add my high school network.

haha wow thanks everyone! Jenny when I first read that story I though, you guys sat in his car at night and only talked…wow come on! At least make up a better story than that! but then i realized with the whole dad thing it’s bad enough. I’m so happy I don’t have asian parents. (no offense)

hm…I’m so sick right now. I can’t believe I made it through school. Anyone going to see Shrek the Third?

Welcome Al3k! I’ll be attending the Cornell II seminar this summer. Macedonia? That’s beyond cool. Anyways, I look forward to meeting you! Oh, and add me when you join facebook! (Search for “Cornell TASP 2007” and you’ll find me and a bunch of other folks there) :D

Hey Karen, I noticed on another thread that you want to study Ancient Greek this summer. Serious or Joking? I’d love to learn Ancient Greek. (More geekiness) Do you like the ancient classics? I’m reading Ovid’s Metamorphoses right now. It’s really great (not Greek, but old anyway). If you like mythology/ancient cultures you should check it out.

Oh, so he asked stupid peer pressure girl, today.

I absolutely just died.

And sorry, Karen, that nothing more interesting happened
Unfortunately, we have established that we like each other…yet. Actually I don’t even know if he likes me! Stupid boys. Stupid hormones. Stupid life.

Oooh Alek

For Facebook you can sign up with your country network I believe. Also you will love Cornell I, you guys are so international. (Ironically-- the title of your TASP) You have China, Macedonia, Canada, and Taiwan represented. As well as both coasts and Texas.

I think it is cool your from Macedonia, being part of a country that is younger than you must be sort of strange. Where were you born, Yugoslavia… just before Macedonia broke off or do you have some story that trumps my growing up in the suburbs :-P

Awww Tako :[ Lets hope she is a bad dancer and a bad date, and why don’t I be nice for once. (That reminds me today, so apparently I was THE best dancer at prom and this girl during drama today asked me to teach her how to dance. It was really funny, mind you, she looks like a dieing chihuahua having a seizure when she dances. So basically I layed random dance songs and I asked her to move to them (failed) and then I had her listen to the ipod playing a dance song so I didn’t know it, so instead of me guiding her she guided me… This was all while we were dancing in the dressing rooms in our theater. (She failed that to) But at least I taught her to start off basic and move in a unilateral motion and not to bounce or go really fast. i felt accomplished, then I went out to lunch… Which is annoying since our new VP is cracking down on everyone and I got caught yesterday for going off campus during lunch so now I am all sneaky… It was definitely racial profiling. Ugh I am over it, I watched him in the office today looking through these ‘delinquent’ kid’s grades and laughing about how if he were still a teacher he wouldn’t even give that quote “■■■■■■■ of a trouble maker” who “is effin annoying” I chuckled at that one.

Ahhh prom is tomorrow I am excited, even though I totally forgot to pick up my tux today so now I have to go tomorrow morning, and I definitely like how I should go to bed right now and instead im blabbing on about my life.

Oh and then tonight for our city’s youth commission we had a party at this kids house and his pool was heated to about 78, it was so warm and his hot tub was at 98. It was amazing, and then at 10 we went and buried this time capsule we made… Needless to say it was fun.

So that was my day in review, good night every one :D

Corey
