<p>I don’t know about your school system, but in my town, the Board of Education has this “fund”. And if you wish to acknowledge any special teachers, you can donate to that fund, and the teacher will be notified.</p>
<p>I have never been one to tell my teachers how wonderful they are face to face. I’m very self-conscious, and I feel like that’s kissing up. And there’s also the fact that it’s not terribly common to give teachers gifts at my school, so those would be too conspicuous as well. I wouldn’t mind writing them cards, but again, I’m not one for pouring out my heart.</p>
<p>So I’m pretty grateful for the Board of Education. (: The donations are my way of thanking teachers, and I do it every year.</p>
