<p>How long have you been teaching btw? I am amazed you haven’t encountered problems like this before. What is different? Just this group of kids?</p>
<p>I think the entitled parent problem peaked in elementary school here. Can you imagine parents of such young kids begging for As? They did. And they got them. It died down as time went on, I think in part because some of the high SES parents went to private school, in part because the work got harder and parents could see it got harder. We do have a few like the ones you describe, however, at the high school. Be comforted by the fact that other parents don’t support them. </p>
