Tell me negative things about Rice

Most of the major construction will be done - at least the stuff that affects you. The new rec center (yeah! :)) and two new colleges will be built by August. Other construction is in an academic area near the physics building. The school will grow slowly - not big jump at once. As a parent, I have visited campus over the last 6 years (since DD was a HS senior), and every time I go I look around and think, “Wow, what healthy, energetic, polite and nice looking kids there are on this campus.” And my kids don’t/didn’t think it was too small. DD studied abroad one semester, so maybe that made a difference. But there are opportunities to meet people from other colleges (UH, St. Thomas), meet all the grad students (2800?), and get out in the wide, big city. My son travels a lot with his club sport team; again more time away and meeting new people. It’s not like Rice is isolated away in a cow pasture miles from anywhere…
