<p>Neighbor or friend who can drive you, in exchange for your taking her to lunch one day? Taxi? Car service, which will also wait for you to finish the appointment and drive you home? Don’t drive! You won’t be doing yourself any favors.</p>
<p>The other thing to do is call your doctor’s office and tell them you have no way to get there for the appointment. Maybe they can arrange one of those “ambulette” services.</p>
<p>sueinphilly - do NOT try to shovel show! I can’t think of a worse thing to do 1 week post-abdominal surgery!! Are you even allowed to drive yet? I think my doctors made me wait 2 weeks. </p>
