you should dictate all your papers to wink.

Panic -
Yeah, people are understandably still sensitive about that stuff. Or maybe I can say that because my “race” hasn’t undergone any such cruel atrocities in recent years. Although there is still some bitterness for Britain in the parts of India where my relatives live, and all kinds of Aryan/Dravidian conflict…

To your second point Panic -
Yes. Wink makes the rules. Or will. Someday.
But I don’t write papers for nobody . <– see how terrible my grammar is?

As for cryogenics, there is no use. You’ll get to spend a few more years, probably old and wrinkly, trying to begin a new life in a new world that is probably radically different in terms of culture and technology. You would be lost and probably woudn’t manage for long, or end up miserable. Besides, non-believers in Winkism shall all suffer the same fate…

yeah, but on a level it is still a valid issue (not the Confederate flag) but at the same time it most likely always will be.

booker t. washington had a decent idea.

No one should be accosting anyone, even dumb tourists. I think there ought to be access to whatever sites for whoever wants it, and if they’re significantly obstructing others’ ability to get to the site peacefully and relatively un-harried, they ought to be moved or removed. I also believe that people have a right to be offended by other people, so as long as they aren’t doing anything illegal, they should be able to say whatever they want.

Didn’t he pioneer the concept of gradualism, or are you talking about something different?

ok i know that protesters can often be annoying. but this is just an example of capitalism beating out free speech. they make it comfortable and “safe” for the tourists while stepping all over the people who have something to say. the entire US should be a damn free speech zone.

and i dont know about pioneered but his ideas well in step with the idea.

As intended by the founding fathers, mls.
One of them, the founding fathers that is, said that we must constantly have our senses assaulted by that which is foreign to our comfort zone if we are to remain active, informed citizens or something along those lines.

but we haven’t. the US has a history of xenophobia. and bless the founding fathers, i think their dirt rolls around in their graves every couple of years.

Oh yeah, we aren’t the state that The Constitution intended us to be. Just look at the Federal Reserve, a gigantically unconstitutional institution, but it is used none the less.

Let’s not forget that the founding fathers created the Alien and Sedition Act, and basically jailed anyone they thought was speaking against the government. They might have had lofty ideals, but in practice, well…

humans huh great with the ideas, horrible with the enacting them.

That’s true, they weren’t perfect.

Well, Jefferson was mostly alright. Kind of useless, but no egregious rights violations. (:

Just, you know, slaves. (:

i feel horrible putting a smiley face next to that. ):

Er, we all have our vices? At the time, pretty much all the rich people owned slaves. And also had children with them. Was he the one who set them all free in his will, or was that Georgey-Porgey?

Earilmadith, the strokes/regina spektor song is the epitome of awesome!
their voices sound fantastic together

Hudson, haha yeah that’s not exactly my fav penate song. He’s the type of guy that you need to listen a few times too before really liking his music, and then it becomes addicting. He grows on you. I had the same sort of experience with Jamie T…crazy accent, half the lyrics make nearly no sense, yet it’s just so fun to listen to!

I loveeee Vampire Weekend, never heard of St. Vincent but I’ll check 'em out

in case you didn’t already know, my favorite modern band everr is the arctic monkeys. don’t even try to argue with me on that one, it’s indisputable.

i think old tom had a couple slave concubines…we read about it in US history

“Georgey-Porgey” I have no idea who this guy is, but his name rocks. (:
Don’t know the answer to your question, though.

YES! a fellow fan of VW!

George Washington, of course!

Every leader had his/her faults. Once we read an article in APUSH last year about the lives of the leaders of the Civil Rights movement, and it mentioned that MLK was not entirely faithful…some people were p*ssed at even the /suggestion/ of infidelity, but it’s time that people faced up the fact that our leaders were people, not mythological heroes to be unconditionally worshipped (and even /they/ had serious flaws).
