Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

Wink- Fridge (Frigid, as her skin only barely covers her cold, robot interior) She’s a critical thinker, everyone! She’s a Jain (Google it, people), lives in the frigid North (affected her development?) and never appears to be around when we have our music discussions because I can never remember what she likes. Feel free to edit this, Fridge.

No, Panic, he’s clearly in love with his super hot collegiate-lookalike friend.

D-Yu- Elmo (LMOE- Last Man on Earth- Donny has no manliness points and ergo doesn’t count) Loves guns and explosions! A very descriptive member of the forum.

Well I’ll give a brief intro for myself. Very brief.

Likes: tennis, drama, debate, friends, music, all of that cliche teen stuff

Dislikes: doing fundraisers, slow walkers, and waiting (especially on TASP but I’m sure everyone feels that way)

Earilmadith- Cira (Short for Velociraptor, as I’m short, fierce and have an unnatural love for random webcomics) Loves baking, reading and tearing other debaters to shreds with my 4-inch claws. Has obviously the best taste in music ever.

Wrong. Wink is God. I thought we already established that quite a while ago? There is no room for polytheism; I’m afraid Panic-followers will have to be burned at the stake.

Earil = cute elfish girl that dreams muchly of the kingdoms of Princeton and Cornell, possesses gourmet cooking skills, loves web comics (she’s velociraptor in disguise), exasperated with boys (especially 8th grade ones), always has wise things to say (the sage amongst the group), classical economist, I believe…

You forgot that Wink is the soon-to-be dictator of Asia (followed by the rest of the world, shortly after).

“WolfTheFierce” -Porna (Loves sexual innuendo. You’ll see, Just spend a little time with her… If you dare) Loves Jewish boys, fierceness, butch girls and actually tearing people to shreds with her four-inch claws. Also sexual innuendo and outuendo.

Just didn’t want to ruin your element of surprise, Wink.

The king returns from the book store of consumerism! I love my description, cira. If ever I’m asked to summarize myself, i’ll just copy and paste that. (:

I have no idea what we’re doing, but I’ll just go with the flow as I eat my microwavable pizza.

Thank you!

Microwave pizza? Poor thing.

We’re kind of making an FAQ.

Microwavable burritos are sadly better. Pizza gets more soggy.
:-/

Woah… This thread has seriously exploded since I’ve last been here. I feel sort of fickle for abandoning you guys after I didn’t need you anymore, and now I’m crawling back to beg for your assistance like the fair-weather friend that I am.
;)

So… I got an email with a interview notification and, because I’m a neurotic freak, I’m sort of suspending my belief until I got a paper notification. But it should be legitimate, right?

It should be fine. What’s your general geographic region? We’re trying to see if there’s method to the madness.

PS. High five! Awesome awesome job!

Another Lurker emerges from anonymity! Congrats are undoubtedly lauded on you by us all for your achievement.

FAQ’s? If looking for answers, refer to the god that is Google. (:

Yay! Hearing news like that makes me happy, even from a total stranger.

But there is surprisingly little info about TASP on the web, aside from the official webpage and this thread and previous years’. There’s not even a wikipedia article…

And how many times do I have to tell you guys, Wink is the only god?! I’m trying to save your mortal souls here guys, some appreciation please. Sheesh. :)

Why search when you can ask helpful hopeful TASP-ers? Everyone just asks the same questions, so we thought it’d be nice to not have to type things over and over again.

It’s mentioned in the general TA website, but it still deserves more attention.

Earil- would the velociraptor be any reference to XKCD? also, why is velociraptor considered a spelling error?

Yes! High five for knowing that and for having Firefox (I’m assuming? I am pretty sure IE doesn’t spell check yet…)!

Classik, many scientific names aren’t recognized by spelling engines, also ye, XKCD permeates this blog heavily.

bows in the greatness of classik. yes it is. im a convert. and yes an FAQ donny just pet your dog, eat your pizza, and contribute.

The only question that people ask religiously on this thread is, “When do letters come out?” And the answer is, “March 7th for the majority people.”

and wink back off, the better religious choice will be made by the people.
