Telluride Association Summer Program ( TASP ) 2008

Oh P.S., I didn’t mean just read the essay – you know, faux interview/discussion or whatever too

sigh, mine isn’t until April 10th ish…and apparantly there are atleast 3 people who got interviews in my area. And hello?? I’m in Iowa City, I mean, what’s up with that?? I’m in IOWA. It’s supposed to be the easy part of the country. ugh. Atleast I’m not going to worry about it for a while. : )

I’m still waiting…

i STILL haven’t been contacted by my interviewer…
again, anyone in the DC area? (:

anyhow… good luck to all of you!
keep us all updated on how your interviews go!

heyy… maybe we should use hotpot’s idea.
we should read each other’s essays and have a mock “panel” interview over AIM, etc…?

(… is this a stupid idea? haha.) maybe i’m psyching out too much. (:

I don’t think it’s a bad idea at all
except you’ll believe I’m a freak once you read my essays^^

I think freaks are what they’re looking for =]

I’m game with the whole mock-interview idea (even though my interviewer still hasn’t set a date. XD). I’m kinda embarrassed, though, because I’m afraid my essays were really boring and conventional.

my essays are kinda weird, and I almost forgot the whole TASP thing when I got the mail informing my acceptance… what a…parakeet

I can’t speak English really well, either. So if I’m in Michigan this summer then that would be a true miracle

Sorry, I kind of fell off the CC boat for a while there…anyway, it’s crazy to see that so many clearly brilliant kids didn’t get an interview! I’m really nervous for the interview. I’m calling tomorrow to schedule it. Has anyone actually had theirs yet? Or is it wayy to early?

how do u apply??? do PSAT scores have anything to do with the app. process? counselor recs? or… can you just apply by urself online…??? and is this for rising juniors or rising seniors???

It’s for rising Juniors only (right? hahah) and really scores and recs are minor part of the process. (although I think you get a mailing from TASP encouraging you to apply if you have a really high PSAT - you don’t even send those scores to them when you actually apply) Most of the selection is based on the essays you write. Just google TASP and look at the site. ; )

HAhah, and I would like to proudly point out that the TASP thread is completely dominating the RSI thread heheh.

does it mean that I have to be at least better than other 72 brilliant people to get into TASP??? Why do I feel so hopeless?!!

oh I know what you mean, my interview is on thursday o_O

Thursday March 20th? Where are you?
Mine is on March 30th

where am I?
In a small hick town a few miles east of the dutch border, in germany

I still need to schedule my interview for TASS…

henn G.
that’s cool (although I’m not taking German at school :P)…
Well, good luck on the interview :)

I’ve talked on the phone to the person who’s gonna interview me… couldn’t figure out if that was a man’s or a woman’s voice.
duhhhhhh hopeless hearing problem :p
