I’m bringing one. I kind of want to lug my stereo along too…I feel like that would be a lot of fun and worth the obnoxiousness in the airport. My sister lived in a house for college (not a sorority, the french house) and her having a stereo increased the fun factor by a lot, I feel. Who doesn’t want to blast European house music at midnight?!

I plan on bringing one as well simply because I’m addicted to minesweeper

Do you know if there is some sort of graduation celebration for TASP?

My parents are both really busy with work and they’ll only be able to make it to Cornell once, either to drop me off or to pick me up. Which time would be best?

Giantredlobster, Thanks
I appreciate the appreciation. Well, I went to Best Buy today. They couldn’t fix my laptop and we still lost the $84 deposit ![]()
henn G., they said on my letter that we would be having a great summer, with or without laptops ![]()

is anyone going to bring musical instruments, art supplies, etc… to tasp?

I guess that is going to be a lot of fun if all have their own instruments!!
oh, roamorse told me that there would be a piano there (for all the pianists haha)

I’ve been considering bringing an instrument, but I’m not sure if I want to bring a viola or a guitar. I’m afraid the two together would be excessive.

im bringing a viola and a violin. Im trying to find a case that will fit both though…

i may bring a kazoo as well.

Ok…although I do understand everyone wanting to bring diverse things to TASP…wouldnt it be better to bring less and use our time together to have meaningful, intellectual discussion??? (as is the point of TASP)

I mean, with costumes, violaes, and a kazoo, it might end up being a circus!

annette will be our cornell guitar girl
and don’t worry, I’m untalented in any art/music stuff sadly. So no instruments for me^^

So, random question. How much clothing are you guys planning to bring? I’ve never been away from home for six weeks before, so I don’t know how much laundry normal people generally do during that time.

I’m not sure that made sense. There’s the eloquence that got me into TASP. :P

i’m bringing all the clothes in my closet…as well as art supplies. has anyone thought of what they’ll discuss during their pubspeak?

I’m feeling like I need to find something extremly obscure for the pubspeak b/c otherwise, if I do just a contemporary world problem, everyone will already know about it. In any case, I have a few good ideas in mind.

What is TASP other than the fact that its a summer program with a competitive application process? What do you do there?

Any waitlistees hear anything?

Oh, I haven’t even thought about pubspeak yet.

lol 09910745

well does the topic of a certain seminar affect what we should talk? I mean supposed I’m going to UT Austin, do I have to talk about stuff connecting to Hollywood’s Africa

I don’t like you, Henning. Volunteering me for guitar-playing. I’m not even taking my guitar…

I don’t know whether to take my camera. I’m definitely taking my crappy digital camera, but I’ve got a really nice camera that I prefer to take pictures with. I dunno if I want to risk it getting lost or broken or something.

man!
i am so excited

I have alternating waves of fear and exhilaration every thirty seconds, but since no one at my school has heard of TASP my discussion of it is limited to, “now, what’s the global south again?”
