Telluride Association Summer Program (TASP) 2010

In UT Austin from Ft.Lauderdale

I did not get in. To all those who do go–have fun! Cherish the summer and cherish the good news today!

For those of us who have been accepted, can we abide by Telluride’s request that we not connect with each other pre-TASP, i.e. not start any Facebook/MySpace communications or groups?

Wow. Gods and Heroes of the Celts and Vikings.

I’m from Miami, FL

:o)

I GOT IN! First choice (Democracy and Diversity) too! Omg omg omg I’m soooo happy! Let’s make this an awesome summer, everyone.

To those of who you didn’t get in: You’re still awesome people, and I know that you’re all extremely talented writers and wonderfully bright thinkers. I’m sad that I won’t get to meet you all.

ut austin baby!

Gods and Heroes of the Celts and Vikings!!!
from NY

Secretly,

New TASPers getting their acceptances makes my heart ache.

Got in!!! God and Heroes of the Celts and Vikings

Congrats everyone :)

Congratulations, all acceptees! And to all of you who were doubly luck enough to be accepted to UT-Austin’s program, I’m simultaneously extra happy for you and extra jelly that y’all will be taking over our house. (For cereal though, Austin >>>>>>>> Ithaca.) Don’t Facebook/CC each other beforehand, get ready for a hot-ass summer (literally), and be excited for the most incredibly life-changing experience of your lives.

p.s. Feel free to PM me (or Keil/wombatsoup/Antagonist/Obstinate) if you have questions about packing or what have you. You’ll get info from your factota about it, but we’re happy to clarify toosies.

I’ve been waitlisted. This is purgatory. To any fellow waitlisters: They told me I could call tomorrow for my position in line.

In! Cornell TASP. I look forward to meeting you, TASPers.
To those who were not so fortunate, remember that admission was based on a number of factors we couldn’t control, and the stars aligned for some of us and didn’t for others. I’ll regret not spending the summer with you and getting to hear your ideas, and this is just as much a loss for TASP as it is a gain for the people you will meet this summer and the great things that you’ll accomplish.

I was rejected. I will never get over it. I will also never frequent CC again. goodbye.

I didn’t make it either  but it’ll be okay. congrats to everyone who made it!

got in - Cornell I. Whee !

Rejected. Oh well. I get to spend the summer with my (serious) boyfriend before he goes to college, so it’s probably for the best.

Hmm. I was hoping that they might send out subsequent waves of emails, but I guess I’ll just lose all hope now?
Congrats to those who made it in! I’m insanely jealous.

I’m accepted as well. Grateful, since I didn’t have any other choices (didn’t apply anywhere else) so I would’ve spent my summer hanging out with friends, sleeping and not doing much (which isn’t that bad anyways, but considering I’m not too hot on productivity I need to step it up a bit…)

Cornell. I look forward to meeting new people.

Hi im a tass applicant, I was notified of being an alternate… is that the same as being wait listed… and do I have a real shot?

hey antoganist, i was an alternate last year for tass too, and i, by some miracle, got to go since someone dropped out. if you really love this program and still want to go, don’t give up! let mrs. baer know you’re still interested by email, and maybe call the telluride office to see if they ranked the alternates. but unfortunately it really comes down to chance, since some years all the people accepted can go to the program but other years there might be a few who can’t make it. and from my amazing experience at U of M, tass really was worth the wait, so good luck!
