Clark Scholars is a week longer, so I suppose you get greater value from that aspect.

I vote TASP!

Which is more appealing to you: research or seminar?

for people trying to pick between Telluride & another program, i say that you should write up an extensive pros/cons list, then come back the next day with a clear head, and stare at your list. From there I’d say you should decide which program to choose.

…or you can just all pick TASP. It’s nice, I think you’ll kinda like it.

You probably can’t really consider what I say as unbiased anyway, as I’d really like to get off of the waitlist. The other program I applied to was canceled due to lack of money.

From what I’ve heard, Clarks is an excellent program in the social aspect as well–not TASP level, but much closer than something like governors school. This one is more a toss-up, because it’s a great opportunity to do research that you wouldn’t have at TASP (like Keil said). HOWEVER, keep in mind that you can apply for Clark’s senior year summer as well (I considered it).

What is Clarks?

Clark Scholars is a really cool research program at Texas A&M (or Tech, idr which). They hook you up with a mentor in basically any research area and you live with other participants. I personally would choose TASP because of the social aspect. Also, stronghammer, I noticed you got into the Austin seminar. Ask yourself, would you rather be in Austin or Lobbock (or College Station)?

Clark Scholars is associated with Texas Tech, in Lubbock.

Got my factota letter for UT Austin yesterday! My parents are now convinced I’m joining a cult for the summer, but I think it’s worth it. :-D

You’ll be convinced soon, too. But it’s still more than worth it.

So does anyone know when the tass reply deadline is, and by when the people on the waitlist would know if their in by?

Well This thread has been dead lately…

I can’t articulate just how much I am looking forward to June 27th!!!

Me either, this is going to be FUN!!!
I already have my plane ticket and forms filled out. I should have everything mailed in by next week. I cant believe how fast this month is going. i want it to end quickly because of TASP but at the same time i need time to prepare for final exams.

I applied for TASS but I was rejected. I was a finalist, went for the interview… what is the ratio of caucasians to african americans?

at my tass last year it was 1: 14

So I presume that everybody has submitted their rooming forms to the factota, and release/medical/contact forms to TA?

^I don’t think I’ve gotten my rooming forms yet
