Temporary housing in Chicago

We spent some time looking at long term Airbnbs this weekend. Found a room with a private bath and access to the rest of the apartment in the Logan Square area. I know it overlooks the 606 (frankly that doesn’t mean much to me given that it’s a rather long park) but I don’t know how big Logan Square is. The area itself is about 4 miles from where she will be working. It’s about a 15 minute drive unfortunately the facility does not allow employees to use the parking. They must park in the street or use public transit. It’s about a 30 - 35 minute bus/train trip. It looks to me like that will be about the amount of time she would take from just about any of the available lodgings. The rent would be just under $1300 per month or around $5100 plus tax for her entire stay.

To my questions. Is Logan Square a safe area? Is the distance/travel time pretty much to be expected? She’ll be working at the Athletico PT on W. Belmont for those who know the area.
